1. The formation of a
computer in St. Joseph's Chinese Primary
School
was first mooted out by its headmaster, Mr. Chia Chong.
2. The computer club was
finally established in 1988 with the
assistance
of Protraco Computer Company.
3. The objective of forming
this club is to train and equip our young
pupils
with basic computer knowledge to enable them of face
future
challenges in Information Technology .
4. Its pupils are encouraged
to join this club to learn the ABC's
using
computer.
5. To ensure that more
pupils have the opportunity to benefit from
this
programme pupils from the afternoon session are required to
attend
the computer lessons which are conducted in the morning
white
the morning pupils attend in the afternoon.
6. The response from pupils
was using encouraging and we have
more
than 200 pupils registered to participate in computer
lessons
7. The enrollment of pupils increased over the
years, computer
lessons had to be stopped
temporary to enable the school to
provide better facilities
to meet the growing demand for
computer education.
8. The Parent-Teacher Association came in to
lend support in this
up-grading exercise by extending
a RM 30,000.00 loan.
9. Presently, computer lessons are conducted
by instructors from
Theng Tat Computer Centre
daily from Monday to Friday
under the supervision of
mdm. Heng Guay Looe
(Sehior Assistant) and mdm.
Soon Thian Hong (Afternoon
