Course Description:
Beginning with the contemporary landscape and moving backwards, this course builds the historical knowledge, intercultural understanding, and political principles needed today by citizens of a multi-religious America. The treatment of religions will be guided by a distinctively American combination of principles: unity in diversity, religious liberty, and the non-establishment of religion.

Course Requirements:
Mid-term and Final exams; Religious Site Visit; Presentations in discussion sections.
N.b., As an O Focus Course, 40% of the grade will be based on Oral presentations.

55 Kaneohe-Circle Isle
On Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport-Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, or 42 Ewa Beach and ride to the Ala Moana Center. At the center, transfer to the 55 Kaneohe-Circle Isle bus. Alight on Kamehameha Hwy opposite the entrance to the LDS Temple and Brigham Young University
Bus to Return:

55 Honolulu-Ala Moana
To return, stand on Kamehameha Hwy, opposite from where you got off and board the 55 Honolulu-Ala Moana bus. Ride to the Ala MoanaCenter and transfer to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. The 8, 19, 20, 23, 47 and  run frequently. The 55 runs 30 minutes apart with limited evening service. 
Approximate travel time is 2 hours
