Finally Love Hina 24 is up. Sorry for the delay on this. I've had many other commitments.
I'm working on organising some more help for the site which will hopefully result in
more regular updates
plus some additional interesting features.
Well that's it for LH at the moment. I may update episode 23 with a better quality version
(the way the subtitles stuff up at the end is poor) but there won't be any more episodes in the near future.
Most of you probably know that Love Hina was only broadcast up to episode 24 in Japan.
25-26 will be video release only, in the oav style, and I imagine the date for that would be several months
away atleast. Plenty of time to build hype though ;).

Love Hina 22 and 23 are now available. Sorry for the delay on these.
Unfortunately there's bad news about feavl FTP mirror 3, Patsie's FTP.
Patsie's ISP has threatened to pull the plug on him for exceeding reasonable bandwidth usage.
However prior to this he was able to distribute over 60 gig of fansubs to eager fans, and
his efforts are most certainly appreciated.
The url for the Anime Download Site has been
fixed up. Also the ADS now has the entire series of Nurse Angel Ririka and Tenshi ni Narumon
available. Go get 'em!
Kwokinator has updated the info for most of the WWW sites listed on feavl with what
episodes are up.
And finally, I've been receiving a stack of reports about CRC errors on various files
on both the ftps and MySpace. Unfortunately I've been too busy to check on these
just yet, but it's in the pipeline. Keep sending them in as you find them, but
try and download a file at least twice before reporting.

More Fumei news thanks to ErMac.

bunch of people, and it appears that one of the users decided to flood
someone and used up a whole T3, which the ISP didn't like to much. So now
the box is being relocated. As of now there is no ETA, but I'll try to keep

something beyond my control."

Added a new site, Anime Factory.
Anime Factory are the digital fansubbers of a number of series including Love Hina
(some of their episodes are up on feavl). Looks like they're doing some
distribution also, check it out.
I now have Love Hina 20 on hand so it should be up sometime over the
next day or so. Keep an eye out.

The feavl.ath.cx address is down, not sure what the problem is just yet
(notice that
God's Hand is also down, same server).

Hopefully some people will check back at this address, in fact I imagine most
were still just using the old address anyway.
However if you happen to come across someone who's a little clueless with where to go
then please point them in the right direction.
Never fear, a few minor server hassles aren't going to prevent the
release of the next 2 episodes of Love Hina, 18 and 19 (kindly provided to
me by llm316). Both
of those episodes are now up on MySpace and the 2 ftps.
I'm a bit behind on emails so please be patient if you're
waiting for a reply. Thanks.

Fumei Anime has been down for something
like 5 days now. A conspiracy? I doubt it, but Fumei co-maintainer
ErMac has no news as yet.

All of To Heart is now up on the new ftp mirror. Remember to set
your retries to 60s before downloading otherwise you'll be banned
and have to resort to FDS (nooooooo!). Also the contact emails for
both ftp mirrors are listed so you can send them messages
of love and peace! Or maybe just a thankyou would do.
Anyone know what's up with the lack of new sites lately? I mean
I'm sure that there's plenty of new DBZ sites (yay) popping up, but
how about some Akazukin Chacha (particularly now that Fumei doesn't have the
1-15 up anymore).
Btw my hot fansub tip is 1-12 of Hana Yori Dango (great series) encoded in divx
by ErMaC over
at Fumei Anime. Easily the best quality encodings
I've seen so far. Also the main Fumei ftp is quite good these days,
usually only takes me about half an hour to connect.

Good news, we have another ftp mirror! Currently this mirror has all of
Love Hina and soon will also have To Heart. Also the Love Hina and To Heart pages
have been restructured to hopefully make it easier for people to see what
download options are available for each episode.

Mamotte Shugogetten fansite where you can find episodes 2-6 of the anime.
Another site, short but sweet, Petit Charat Anime
has episodes 1-8 of Digi Charat. And finally, an alternative to
Fumei Anime for those trying to download
the Sailor Stars episodes, at the
Ultimate Anime Network.
Nothing particularly ultimate about it but anyway ;).
Episodes 9-15 of Love Hina (divx with hard subs) are up on FDS.
Thanks to llm316 who supplied these to me. That's probably it with LH for the time
being. I'll probably try and do some realvideo versions of 5+ slowly over the next
couple of weeks. If you're really keen for these then hassle me (!) because currently
they're quite low on the priority list.

The info for ADS - The Anime Download Site and
Ek Anime has been updated. The ADS has recently
added another mirror and has plenty of good stuff available. Some of the highlights are
1-12 of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, and 1-17 of Tenshi ni Narumon.
A new site has been sent in, Initial D - Red Suns,
where you can find the first 26 episodes of the anime Initial D in realvideo 300kbps. Files are stored on IDrive
so you'll need to open up your own IDrive account to get the files across.

The realvideo version of Love Hina 4 has been uploaded to FDS. Love Hina 1-4 (DivX) and 1-3 (realvideo)
are now mirrored on Logan's ftp. Also Logan has upped the max user limit to 5.
If you've made use of Logan's ftp and have a spare moment then I'm sure he'd appreciate

Good news, expect Love Hina up to episode 9 soon. I'm talking divx with hard subs, no mucking

Just a quick word to say that Love Hina ep 4 (divx) is now up
along with To Heart Omakes 1 and 6. Thanks to Jzary for helping out with these.

Can't believe it took me that long to upload one lousy episode.
But it's finally done and now episode 3 of Love Hina is up
for your enjoyment. Also episode 1 (divx) has been fixed.
Btw, if you happen to have episode 4 and higher and are
feeling generous then I'd appreciate it if you could contact me and discuss
how we can get it online for everyone.
I think Logan needs a big thankyou for his ultra reliable
ftp, mirror 2. As far as I can tell it's been up 24/7 and
has provided some much needed relief for FDS downloaders.
Unfortunately mirror 1 is no where near as reliable but you
take what you can get.

Big news, AFI has moved for the first time. mortalfrog,
webmaster of God's Hand,
is the one providing the server space.
Probably the most important thing for the end user is no more popups or other
forms of advertising.
The new address is feavl.ath.cx,
but the old address should be fine for a while. AFI has actually had the same
address for over a year now (site opened 01-Jul-1999) which isn't bad. Hopefully
this one will last as long too.
We now have another ftp mirror for To Heart thanks to Logan. This one contains
episodes 1-13 and the omakes in 5 meg rar files so you can mix and match with your
FDS downloads. However the server only supports 3 users currently so you'll have
to be lucky to get on. Better than nothing though.
Commiserations to those who've been trying to download from FDS.
FDS has been even more unreliable than usual lately with files and folders disappearing
and reappearing with disturbing regularity. I feel your pain (literally, because I have
to upload to the $#(@^% thing!) but can only suggest to try again later if things aren't
working.
Some news for those who've enjoyed To Heart. I've started up a petition to show support for a To Heart
dvd release in the US. Please head over and check it out if you think you might be interested
(banner up the top of the page). Also tell your friends!
A couple of updates for AFI sites. DuckMan, from
DuckMan's Flame Of Recca site,
has informed me that he now has all Flame Of Recca episodes available so if you're
missing a particular episode then request away! Also, the address for
Ek Anime has changed so be sure to take note
of the new address if you have the site bookmarked.
So what's coming up over the next few days? Well the first episode of Love Hina
(divx) which had the stall will be replaced with a fixed version. I should be
able to provide a patch for anyone who's already downloaded the dud version.
Also expect the third episode, in both divx and realvideo formats (of course
whether anyone will be actually able to download these from FDS is another thing entirely).

Another site has been added to the main list,
Duckman's Flame of Recca.
This site provides another alternative for those interested
in checking out Flame of Recca.
The site formally known as Wedding Peach Eternity is now
known as Lily's Theatre.
There are also 1 or 2 more Wedding Peach episodes up since last time I looked.
Feavl is now carrying another anime,
Love Hina, with the first
2 episodes are available. Let me know what you think. Also
we have another ftp mirror on the way, expect more details
in a day or two.
Finally, any hotline users interested in getting an early glimpse
of Escaflowne the movie may want to check out
this thread.

Two more new sites have been added.
The first,
Perfect Dream, is a site
for an online fansubbing project which is currently working on the
anime "The Candidate For Goddess". Check it out! The second,
Anime TV, has episodes of
Senkaiden Houshin Engi, Akihabara Denno Gumi, Hana Yori Dango, and D4 Princess
available.
The descriptions for
Maktos.com and Super 5
have been updated. Super 5 have taken down their Berserk episodes
and have replaced it with episodes of Gundam X. Fans of Gundam Wing (as seen on the Cartoon Network)
may want to check this out.
The To Heart ftp is available once again. The cause of the downtime was a server
upgrade. For the moment no more episodes will be uploaded as the server's HD is full.
While on the subject of To Heart, CRC check files have been added for To Heart
files on freediskspace to help those downloading.
And finally, a little piece of info that may interest some of you.
Bandai has announced they will be releasing Fancy Lala in the US next
year, presumably on DVD and possibly VHS.

The first new site up in a while, Ek Anime.
It has most of the first 37 episodes on a FDS account, and the webmaster is planning on uploading
more FoR and then more Vampire Princess Miyu.

A couple of interesting new tibits from the recent Anime Expo
(head over to
Anime on DVD for the full
story).
Viz have licensed Yu Watase's latest, Ayashi no Ceres, both the anime and the
manga. However bad news for Maison Ikkoku fans. Viz have all but squashed any idea of a
DVD release and the VHS releases will most likely come to a halt as sales continue
to fall. I hate to say it but hang on to those fansubs!
CPM now have the rights to episodes 14-26 of Utena with an option
available on episodes 27-39. They are also actively negotiating for the Utena movie.
This is great news and hopefully it won't be quite so long between releases this time.
Urban Vision is still in the final stages of negotiation for Berserk, and have been for
over a month now. I wonder how much longer this will go on for?
Unfortunately the To Heart ftp is currently down and has been for a few days I believe.
I'll follow this up and find out what's happening. Please use freediskspace for the
time being.

Good news, we have our first ftp mirror for To Heart thanks to
Akira! So far episodes 1-3 (350kbps) are up.
This ftp is mainly intended for modem users (connections are capped at 6k/s),
those with high bandwidth connections should continue to use freediskspace.
When I get round to it I will
also provide lower quality encodings of these episodes for those with slow connections.
These will be about the same size as LunaArt's files.

Fumei Anime
is back which is good news. Apparently the problem was due to power
supply issues which caused the web host to be down for a period
of time. Also the episodes that were formally part of Senshi TV
have finally returned, Sailor Moon Season 5 and Macross 7.
The rest of To Heart is now up, 11-13.

from the Fumei webmasters.

Freediskspace seems to finally be working, I was able to
download successfully just then. Episodes 1-10 of
To Heart are now up so give it a try.

I'm a bit annoyed with freediskspace at the moment as I'm
sure many others are. They've been down for maintenance
for a few days now and each time I visit they've pushed
the scheduled date for completion back another day.
Unfortunately there's not anything I can do about this.
Episodes 1-7 of To Heart are available once
freediskspace eventually does come back up. 8-10 will follow
early next week.
I've added the site Super 5
to the main list. Currently they have 1-10 of Berserk available.
Just a quite note, I've received word that Berserk has in fact
now been licensed. I'll check up on this but at this stage expect
all sites still distributing Berserk to be removed some time tommorrow.
And finally, the merger between Parasite Anime and Senshi TV to
create Fumei Anime has
been completed. Not all the old files are currently available
but more should become available throughout the week.

As you may know I've received some complaints with regard
to sites linked to from feavl distributing commercial anime and
have removed these sites. All feavl sites should now contain
only fansubbed episodes from series that have not yet been
licensed outside Japan. If you happen to come across a site
from feavl that does not comply with this please notify me
and the offending link will be removed immediately.

This site has episodes 1-11, 29-30, and 42 of Flame of Recca on an FTP. FTP
looks hard to get into, however: 3 users at a time. Set your retries
for 60 seconds. It's on a cable modem, so the speeds should be okay.

Unfortunately it's been requested that I take a few sites down. Since I've
been busy lately I hadn't been able to make the required changes until now which is the
reason for the weeks downtime. I guess the usefulness of feavl is somewhat degraded
now although there are other sites where you can get your fix.
The news is not all bad. I will have more To Heart up soon hopefully. Episode 7
is actually up already (in the same folder as episode 5) and the specials are ready
to go. Soon..

AFI's hotline section has received it's first update in a while thanks to Alex J who's
passed on his thoughts on how to find anime on Hotline. Thanks!
Senshi TV is
available again.
I'm not sure why Senshi TV was down for so long but it's back now.
And finally in the news, the AFI To Heart experiment was a success!
I've received positive feedback from several people and it's great that
more people are discovering this anime. Anyway, episodes 1-5 are now
available for download in the To Heart
section of AFI.
