"A Poem" By Rithy Vu When I see your shiny smile I wonder if you are looking at me I barely see you for a while And I always wonder where you could be. "Sharon" By Rithy Vu When the moonlight shines on your long soft hair People look with amazement and stare The sunlight shines on your dark brown eyes And still shines when the sun dies You have smooth silky hands Like no one else across the lands Your beautiful smile... Can be seen far away, even from a mile When you wear your black skirt Others look and you start to flirt Then you might go wild and dance While others still look and just glance You are very sweet To everyone you meet. So young and smart with the grades to prove it So that will make the path ahead will lead to wealth with success Kunthea, with a smile that brings happiness to people's heart And the eyes of yours that shines in the light, and even at night The soft sweet song of your voice makes everyone listen With the grace you have of a young lady Kunthea, growing up so quickly, with your mind expanding That you study everyday and night, and keeping the information within Not letting go any information free And so determined, with all the will and strength to succeed Kunthea, you are my cousin who gets along with everyone That makes me look up to you I have seen what you have done And I want to do the same thing too back to top

"Another Poem Just for You" By Rithy Vu Since I have nothing else to do But none of my chores was done I am giving this poem for you Because I think that you would like another one Many nights I laid on me bed Thinking of words that rhyme I started making a poem in my head But it would have to take some time I remember the first day we met I heard your unique soft voice You are someone who I'll never forget Unless I had a choice. Sometimes I feel hurt and down With some bad memories in my mind Then I feel much better when you are around Because you are always one of a kind On many days I felt all alone And my heart was broken and sore I feel better when I talked to you on the phone But I still want to talk to you just a little bit more I tried calling you and you weren't there Or maybe I dialed the number wrong I walked by your house because I knew where From my house to yours, it doesn't take that long I never had a friend like you before And I like it when were together I just hope that I would see you more Because that will make me feel much better Since this is your senior year And you might not care anyway I like it when you are near And what you have to say I hope you like this poem I made Because I did the best I could I think this is too long I'm afraid But for a person like you, it should back to top

Happy Birthday Sharon! By Rithy S. Vu I'm sorry that I couldn't buy anything new Because I could never afford it anyway So I made this especially for you For your 17th Birthday! During the summer I could not sleep at night Because I had a bad nightmare Then I think that everything is all right I turn to my side, and you're not there I wanted to speak to you I wanted to talk to you on the phone I forgot that you're not there And now I'm all but alone I missed someone very special The girl who loved to dance You are the one goes out late With some time for romance She is always sweet and nice The one who loves books I could never forget her I could never forget the way she looks My summer was boring And I did nothing all day long I thought you would never come back And then at school, I was wrong Sometimes I was all alone And I thought I would feel this way forever Then I saw her, my friend I'll talk to her, and I'd feel much better I know the you are the one who likes her hair She changes how it looks and moves it everywhere She always has something nice to wear That makes want to smile, and just stare I get worried when you're sad I'm afraid when she cries I will always know when she is happy Because you could always see it in her eyes I know she always loves candies And how she always wants some Sometimes I don't have any But I know she always gets some gum When I see her I will always say hi I only see her for awhile As she goes passing by I hope you keep this forever And know that I will always be friend I hope we could always be together But I'm sad to say, this poem has to end back to top

"For Someone Special Like You" By Rithy Vu I am writing this poem for you For your 18th birthday I have written some for you before But listen what my heart has to say I hope that we're still friends Because I had always admire you I have always liked your soft voice And everything that you do I always wanted to talk to you But I have no idea where you could be Probably you have better things to do Than to talk to someone like me I wish that I could be near you And just see you more and more I sometimes imagine that you hate me Then my heart begins to sore and sore You are someone I can trust Who can understand how I feel You help me by showing me the way And making my heart start to heal I have always wanted a picture Of you to look at everyday Then I wonder if you forget Or just don't care anyway You would say that You would give me a call I am still sitting here waiting Sometimes thinking you don't care at all If you don't like talking to me Because I bother you everyday I just want to be friends with you Because you're perfect in every way I will always remember Trisha As my heart cries out her name I thought you were my friend And I always hope that you felt the same I hope you like this poem Because it is the last I will make If you don't want to be my friend Then my heart will break back to top

Vu A friend is something we all need They are the ones who are always there If you are down and hurt They are the ones who care When I think that my life is through Since I will always feel alone Because they care about you They could never leave you on your own A best friend is someone you can trust Who will understand how you feel Believing in one another is a must Or the friendship is not real As I look deep into my soul I would always see drops of tears My life will never be whole Because a piece of my heart always disappears Your are this special friend of mine Where I would like our friendship to last forever Until the end of time I hope we could spend it together back to top
