Japanese children are given Otoshi-Dama, and they play to spin "Koma", or play Hago-Ita game, or play to raise the kite, or play the card game called "Carta". But, in east japan, "Tanuki" is the noodles with raw egg.

Once upon a time, When "Urashima-Taro" had joging at the seaside, he found that some hot-rodder bullied the one turtle. He was a leader of Easy-Riders in old time, then he ordered them to set free the turtle. Next morning, he met this turtle again. The turtle thank to him, and it served him to the Ryu-Gu Bar. That bar had many beautiful hostess and fine sea-food, and Urashima-Taro enjoyed them forgetting his home. After a few days, he had would like to go back his home, and said good-bye taking "Tamate" Box which is a gift from landlady "Oto-Hime". When he arrived at his home, he found his wife and children had run away from home. He was disappointed, and open the Tamate Box. So then, it started to smoke, and his house was burnt down. "Usagi To Kame" is a story of "Rabbit and Tortoise". Rabbit was a sprinter who made the world record. One day, Tortoise said to Rabbit, "Hi. I think I can run faster than you.". Rabbit had hurted his proud of world champion, and they would have one race. Game was started, and Rabbit run very fast then Rabbit win in an instant. But, it was exposed Rabbit used the forbidden medicines on the dope check, and Tortoise had win after all. (98.2.27)

"Ushi-Waka-Maru" was a little boy who was good jumper like gymnastics player of the olympic games. Also, he was good flute player and he moved ladies in Kyoto to tears by his music and sweet mask. "Ushi" is "Cow", and "Waka" is "Young", and "Maru" is one of nickname of boy. So, Ushi-Waka-Maru means young cow-boy. (98.2.23)

"Wakakusa-Yama" is a small mountain in Nara prefecture, and many deers live in there. 15th the January in every year, japanese burn this mountain wholly, and they ejoy to see the forest fire. "Waka" is young, and "Kusa" is grass, and "Yama" is mountain. It is proper that this mountain grows only young grass. (98.3.2)

Japanese use the "Hashi" which is a set of two picies of wood stick to have meals. At the restaurant, they use plain wood stick called "Wari-Bashi" and it is disposable. Always Wari-Bashi is made by tropical rainy forest and japanese eat the jungle. (98.3.2)

Japanese bake the sweet potato called "Yaki-Imo" at the load-side everywhere. Sometimes, it makes you Daibutsu-San. But, today, the precaution of fire-house is severe, then they don't bake it themselves. Instead of that, "Yaki-Imo" man bakes the potato in his stand at the load-side. (98.3.2)

When japanese make a promise, they cut off each finger. That is called "Yubi-Kiri". Two person bind each little finger and sing a song such as "The cutting finger is to keep our promise strictly, if you tell a lie then I make you to drink one thousand needles." Then, they cut off the finger by Katana, and they take out other's bloody guarantee. If you see the one or two fingerless man in japan, he had broken his promise and drunk many needles. (98.3.16)

"Yui-Nou" is the most difficult custom to understand in japan. Japanese have a ceremony called "Yui-Nou" before they marry. Bride hide herself until family of ridegroom take their seat and matchmaker calls her. Then, bride and bridegroom must not speak any before matchmaker introduce the couple to the each family. And they exchange the present whichi is kelp, or pine tree, or doll of grand couple, or tortoise and crane, or business suit, or Kimono, or saxophone, or cow, or sheep, or carpet, or money.
