Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Episode 02
Operation Meteor (Opereeshon Meteo)
Dialogue Changes
- Professor G, to Duo: "I see you were planning to kill me after you destroyed Deathscythe." "Kill" was changed to "stop." What, is "destroy" still not cool enough to be used anymore?
- Duo, in reply to above quote: "I was gonna kill everyone here, including myself. If it meant peace for this colony, I'd be the God of Death any day." Two changes in this long quote from Duo, both of them standard. "Kill" became "destroy," and "God of Death" became the only thing it's ever called in the cut version.
- Professor G, to Duo: "Of course, go as the God of Death." No comment required :P
- Duo: "God of Death, well it's a lot better than being the hero of a massacre." Once again, no comment!
- Trowa, after witnessing the death of the real Trowa: "I understand if you want to kill me, but I must warn you, I might retaliate." "Kill" once again became "destroy." You might retaliate? Well, I guess it's nice to know that Trowa sorta values his own life :P
Edits
- The shooting of the real Trowa Barton is edited to remove his blood. Cause, ya know, even if you die of a bullet wound, no blood ever actually leaves your body :P
Cuts
- 1 sec.: Our favorite type of cut comes when Heero and Duo are fighting their way to the control room and they throw some explosives down a hallway. The actual explosion is cut, since there are people in the shot (but, as usual, there are other shots of people exploding in this episode that remain intact. It's the end of the series, and I've yet to solve the mystery of why these shots are allowed sometimes but not others *sigh*).
In General
- "How'd they get away with that?!": It looked like near the end of the TV series all religious references were being cut out. However, in this episode Quatre has the line, "Say hi to the Goddess of Venus for me." Maybe they decided goddesses were allowed even though the word God wasn't....
