Yes, that time is right, yes I did go to bed at a (somewhat) reasonable hour, no, I did not get enough sleep and have been awake for 3 1/2 hours, and out of bed for 2 hours. That said, I'm awake, and bitch about it. More so because I took a dose of nyquil at just after midnight, went to bed when it kicked in at 12:30am, and only got 4 hours of sleep before my body said "fuck you very much!" It was the sleep of the insufficiently drugged. Enough stuff in my system to make me stay in bed with my eyes closed, but my brain was still alert enough that I was semi-aware. Yup, I am sick. Got sick on memorial day with a nasty sore throat, took my last final on tuesday, marginally drugged, spent tuesday and wednesday unable to stay awake for more than 3 hours at a time, throat got better, rest of me got congested, and now I'm not so bad except the congestion has taken up residence in my left EAR and it fucking HURTS, forced dad to take me to the drugstore and buy me lots of medicine last night because we were out. So I'm marginally OD'ing on decongestants and pain killers - at least according to over the counter dosages. I suppose I COULD go see a doctor for this, but last time I did that she said "it's just congestion, take decongestant for it and tylenol for the pain." Why waste time when I'm doing that myself (and yes, it does help, I'm only bitchy now instead of pathetic and bitchy).

Hmm...let's see...what else... Watched the first episode of Rose of Versailles after puu talked about it's sparkles and curly hair. The curly hair wasn't so bad, but there are more sparkles in the first four minutes of the show than in some entire episodes of Sailor Moon. In spite of that it is interesting and I can see why people like it.

Akon this year has produced the only group of Angel Sanctuary cosplayers that are exempt from my intent to burn all Angel Sanctuary cosplayers. My reason for this is simple: their costumes were good, and not created by shopping at Hot Topic. Oh, and everyone else pretty much sucked. If you look through the masquerade pics, most of the costumes are mediocre to bad. The Angel Sanctuary and Oh My Goddess groups had to win simply because they were the only ones that really looked GOOD. (as far as my cosplaying goes, I have accomplished jack shit, being sick does that)

Nope, haven't been blogging or lj'ing much lately, haven't had much to say between finals and sick and being generally lazy. Fixed date/time on previous entry.

Late again, as usual
I have just kind of been in a "don'twannawriteanything" mood lately, so I haven't, because I don't aspire to be a writer. Mmmm...justifed procrastination. Tasty. Actually I blog more when I'm bored. I guess I've just been too busy to have the appropriate drive to blog.

So at some point in the past couple weeks I spent the day with Gina, getting costume stuff and shopping etc. So I have some of my armor stuffs for AX, and need to do that. But more importantly I bought other stuff that day! We went to Hot Topic (yes, we still hate people that "cosplay" by buying stuff there, but sometimes they have amusing things) and I got raverpants with far too many pockets that I can smuggle ninjas in. They are going to be my con pants because I said so. We also saw a shirt that said "you are so off my buddy list" and appreciated it greatly. I went back a couple days later and bought it and plan on wearing it around tards.

Same day, still with Gina, we went to Kaybee, aka the reject toystore, and pillaged stuff. Among the action figures I found a gollum and uh...there was a Legolas too, but I already have one, and there was other stuff. Anyways, gollum struck me as special because not only is it gollum, but he comes with a base that speaks and says "my precious" so I had to buy it. When we got home and I took it out of the box we found out it's even MORE special because the gollum bends like gumby, so you can pose him almost however you want.

Some days after I went out with Gina, I went out with Diana and Heidi and had cold soba and we saw X2, and had far too much fun making stupid comments during the movie. I'm pretty sure that yelling "KISS!" at Patrick Stewart and Cyclops near the end was inappropriate behavior. We had fun with it though. Next time we're going to mock Keanu.

Also have been working on costuming for summer. Have spent a few amusing sessions with Kane and Stella working on their costumes, and otherwise have completed the shirt with the 7 3/4 foot long bow. Augh. So much to do still.

Other than that I've been watching anime. As evidenced by the picture up there I am having an illicit affair with Scrapped Princess and think Shannon-nii is CHO KAKKOI. Chris is too. Puu screencapped that and graciously let me use it here, I just shrunk it a bit so it's not so big. Puu has pretty much got all our relevant thoughts on Saint Beast here. If you don't want to read that, I can sum it up in 2 words: it sucks. Hank is going to kill me because I watched the 1st ep of LoGH and couldn't keep the characters straight, so I started renaming them after Harry Potter characters. My thoughts on that are limited to the fact that it's WWII in space. Narue no Sekai only has ONE space ninja in it, a huge disappointment, mostly it's mediocre shounen romance. And finally, Gad Guard is stylistically appealing, we like the characters, but we're not sure what the plot is.

Can't remember if I was going to talk about anything else.
