Sailor Pluto warned the Scouts that they must hold each other's hands while in the corridor; as anyone who became separated might be lost in the corridor for all time. The Sailor Scouts found this extremely difficult as they were buffeted by a powerful wind.

 
Back at the Dark Moon palace, Saffir announced that he had detected travellers in the "ancient path". Esmeraude said it must be the rabbit, but Saffir said that it was more than one person. The Wiseman appeared and said that the time had come when they must capture the Rabbit and the Silver Crystal. He said they could use the Rabbit's power to make the dark crystal stronger. The Wiseman had a crystal ball in which there was an image of the Sailor Scouts trying to make their way down the Time Corridor. Prince Demand seemed surprised when he saw the image of Sailor Moon. He told Esmeraude to capture the Rabbit and bring him Sailor Moon alive so that he could see her beauty up close. After the Prince and Wiseman left, Saffir said he didn't trust the Wiseman whose identity was hidden by a cloak. He thought the Wiseman influenced his older brother too much. Esmeraude was enraged that Prince Demand had called Sailor Moon beautiful, and swore that she would kill her.
Sailor Moon was having trouble walking against the strong currents in the Time Corridor. Rini was wondering how Sailor Moon would save her mother, when she was having so much trouble just getting there. Rini almost let go of Sailor Moon's hand, but Sailor Moon gripped her tightly and Rini realized she had to trust Sailor Moon. Suddenly, Esmeraude appeared. She blasted the Sailor Scouts. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask both lost their hold on Rini and everyone disappeared into the darkness. Esmeraude summoned a droid that had the ability to move easily in the Time Corridor. She told the Droid to kill everyone except for The Rabbit. After the Droid left, Esmeraude laughed that she had "forgotten" to tell the Droid not to kill Sailor Moon.
The Sailor Scouts found themselves in a strange, black area. Rini and Tuxedo Mask had vanished. Sailor Moon was upset that she had let go of Rini's hand, but Raye said it was too late to worry about it and that they should think of a way to find them. Suddenly, the Silver Crystal activated itself and started glowing. A similar glow blinked in the distance. Amy said that maybe Sailor Moon's Silver Crystal and the Silver Crystal of the future were reacting to each other. The Scouts decided to walk towards the other light.
Tuxedo Mask and the cats were stranded in another strange area. Tuxedo Mask started walking, but then heard a familiar voice (the same voice as in his dream). The voice told him to go quickly in the other direction. Luna and Artemis thought it was a trap, but Tuxedo Mask said he knew the voice and went in the new direction. Rini was all alone with her Luna-ball. She could see the gateway to Crystal Tokyo in the distance but said that she couldn't save her Mom alone. Then she heard a soft voice telling her that everything was alright now. A figure came out of the fog and Rini ran towards it. "Mom!"
