"??" Crono and his friends got out.
"this is the future..?" whisper Marle
the whole Earth turns dark and ashes..
"how are we going to find the key?" asks Crono
"uhmm..WHOA!!!! WHATTA..??!!" freaks Lucca
"GET DOWN!!" shout Magus, they all lay down
about 80 or more goblins appear.
"look..!"
100 small monsters different from the goblins were chained by strange robots..
"what are they..?!" freaks Crono
"they don't look anything like human...but if i'm correct, they're holding those monsters slaves!" said Lucca
"but i thought monsters are monsters, there's no difference." said Marle
"Earth dead. how life survive?" asks Ayla
"don't know. we have to check it out." said Crono, and follows the monsters
[CLANG...CLANG..]
"!!!" Crono jumped back. they hide behind the rocks..
the slaves are working in a underground cave...the goblins are watching over them..roaring and hissing..
"this is weird..an underground home?" said Lucca
then a mother goblin appears, roaring. it jumps on one of the slaves from above, tear it's head off!!! the blood spread everywhere.. then the mother goblin take the dead slave to a small young goblin, as it feeds and gulps it down..
"eww!!!" freaks Marle
"hmm...the mother feeding its own child?? the place is more than a home to them..it's a city!" gasps Lucca
"many monsters?" said Ayla
"you mean they build a civilization here??" freaks Crono
"it must be that Dark Ship." explains Lucca, "after the world is destroyed, the monster inside must be real powerful that it spread the monsters that it gave birth or created all around our dead planet, where they get together and replace us, humans, and built civilization of their own."
then Lucca saw the robots, "i don't think they're that smart enough to built robots. if they are, why live underground? they're just like animals, fighting for survival, not like humans, for easy survival."
"do you think THEY stole all our ideas??!!" freaks Crono
"must be...[gasp] look!!" gasps Lucca
"that's the key!! the Golden Key of Power!!" freaks Marle. the golden key hangs near the end of the tunnel.
"let's get it!!" said Crono, and quietly sneeks to get it.
"CRONO!!" freaks Marle
the monsters are doing their business....Crono quietly walks to the key...and got it
"whew.." sighs Ayla
"what are you doing Crono?? if you interrupt their lifes, they'll kill you!!!!" freaks Lucca, "it's been years and they never saw a human before. they'll eat you up for sure!!"
"i'll be fine..!" Crono smiles, then he begin to sneeze..,

"CRONO..!! NO..!!" freaks Marle

"don't make a sound!" said Lucca

"NO CRONO!!" freaks Ayla

sneezes Crono, out loud.
the monsters hisses, and turn to crono

"[ROARRRRR!!!!!!]" one of the goblins roars, and faces Crono eye to eye.
"THEY SAW US!! WE HAVE TO FIGHT!!!" shout Magus, "if you want to live.."
"ALL RIGHT THEN!!!!" said Crono, takes his sword out.
they all do it.
"HIIIIISSSSSSS...!!!!!" hisses the goblins, surrounding them
"HOW DARE YOU REPLACE US HUMANS AND STEAL OUR IDEAS??!!!!! YOU'RE WORSE THAN THE ROMANS..!!!!" shout Lucca
"NO ONE REPLACES ANYBODY AS LONG AS I STANDS!!!!!!" shouts Crono, and attacks, "SPINCUT!!!!!!!"
the goblin screams in pain as blood spread everywhere.
"ICE TOSS!!!!!" shouts Marle, and dual tech. with Ayla
"FIRE 2!!!!" shouts Lucca
"BLACK HOLE" said Magus, and the hole eats up alot of the goblins
"LIGHTNING!!!!!" shouts Crono..
they keep on fighting. but the goblins are too much..
"WE CAN'T KEEP GO ON LIKE THIS!!! THEY ARE TOO MANY OF THEM!!!" gasps Marle, backing off.
"WE OUTNUMBERED!!!" said Ayla, scratching the goblins to keep them away
"OH MAN..!!!! THIS IS BAD!!!!!" said Crono...
"[HISSSSS!!!!!!]"
a goblin jump on Crono from above, it bites Crono by the shoulder..
"[SCREAMS IN PAIN]"
Crono tries to push the goblins away..but too heavy..the goblin bites again..!!!

the goblin runs away from pain.
"[croak] need a hand, young lad?" said Frog, holding the MasaMune
"FROG!!!!!" smiles Crono, "I THOUGHT..!!!!"
"i've been thinking for a long time...thy wishes to save the world. but to accomplish 'tis, Thy must have the Star Ruby!! so thee arrive here..and to see thou here too..saving the world too i presume?" said Frog
"[smiles] YEAH!!!" smiles Crono, very happy to see his friend, "i thought i'll never see you again with your accent!!!"
"HELLO??!!!!!! WE GOT COMPANY??!!!" shouts Magus
the goblins are coming too close..
"WE CAN'T GET OUTTA HERE ALIVE UNLESS WE DESTROY THEM!!!!! LET'S SHOW THESE MONSTERS WHAT A HUMAN CAN DO!!!!" shouts Crono.
they all agree.
"DARK ETERNAL!!!!!!"
"LUMINAIRE!!!!!!"
"FROG FLARE!!!!!!!"
"FALCON HIT!!!!!"
"DELTA FORCE!!!!!!"
"YYYAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" Crono runs to the goblin that bit him ready with his sword..as the goblins hisses and runs to him ready to bite and tear him to pieces..
"CRONO!!!!!" gasps Marle
"..." Crono is having flashbacks..... long ago...he saw a beautiful kingdom...everything was gorgeous...he saw a tall and handsome man, in a tuxedo....he have a strong sword....and the pendant...
"..." Crono shakes his head, and concentrate on his target, "I WILL NEVER LET YOU MONSTERS TAKE OVER OUR WORLD!!!!! AS LONG AS I AM ALIVE, NO ONE DESTROYS OUR WORLD AND TAKE OVER IT!!!!!!"
the pendant that Marle gave him glows...!!!!
"!!" Marle gasps.
"YYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Crono runs the goblin through its body with his sword...the pendant continues to glow..!!
the other goblins screams and runs away.
the pendant stops glowing..
Crono tries to catch his breath...and kneels down.

"WE DID IT!!!! WE CHASED THEM AWAY!!!!" smiles Lucca
"crono..you okay?? that bite..!!" said Marle
"it's fine.." smiles Crono, "don't worry..i rather give up my life just save the world.."
"oh crono.." whisper Marle
"[croak]" croaks Frog, "Thy have never seen such courage in a young lad like you!!! Thy proud of thee...Thou really want to save the world? Danger lurks everywhere, thou might not succeed.."
"we have to, Frog. we're the only hope to change history.." whisper Crono, and holds the golden key, "we are going to get that ruby no matter what..!! i will never give up...won't you guys?"
"[nod no] NEVER!!! AYLA FIGHT!!!" shout Ayla
"i guess i'm in." said Lucca, "you'll need a brainac on your side!"
"[croak] never give up." smiles Frog
"i'm not like you wimps..but i will tag along to save your behind again.." said Magus
"well Marle?" asks Crono

"no matter what happens, we'll never give up, until we reach the ruby, got it?!!" said Crono, "the future..THIS FUTURE and our generations depends on us to live on..and we're not going to let them down EVER."

"let's go to the 2300 A.D. then." said Crono, and they all enters the Time Gate
