After nearly two years of life's trials and tribulations, BFE will be making its triumphant comeback in the summer of 2001. With its brand-new, action-packed line-up, expect BFE to rock YOUR world sometime soon! Love, Alex

Well, I suppose that this is going to be the last time that I update this site. I guess that kinda makes me sad but hey, so it goes. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made playing in this silly little band so much fun. That goes out to all of my bandmates, the bands who were gracious enough to let us play with them, Albert Beltran Jr, Crazy Jake, and especially to both of our "fans". Hey, if you bravely stood up and risked the possibility of being ostracized from society and called yourself a friend to BFE, you should really be rewarded or something. And if you were one of the ones who constantly booed, I apologized for your dissatisfaction, but thanks anyway for being there and paying your way to get inside in order to help us pay for our classy after-show dinners at Denny's. If anybody cares to know, the reason why BFE broke up is COLLEGE. Yes, college... Dennis is in Santa Barbara and Devin is in Valencia. I know that it may come as a shock to some people but we at BFE do believe in the pusuit of knowledge. We may not be intellectual heavyweights, but we sure as hell will try to learn a few big words every now and then. Words such as juxtoposition and pnemonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiousis. Yes, those are indeed real words. I'm not quite sure about the spelling though... oh well. Among other (less important) things, Alex, Scott and myself are currently starting up a new band, unhindered by fatherhood (Alex is a daddy now... congratulations, big guy), full time jobhood (Scott), and full time go-to-school-and-go-to-work-and-sit-on-your-asshood (me). We haven't decided on a name yet, but there are a few choice suggestions floating around. Anyway, I guess this is it... from all of us at BFE, thanks. -P.

In the ever constant drama that is the pop-punk smash hit BFE, a new development has rumors flying. Disappointed fans tucked away their $6 from the twice cancelled OUTTALINE and BOY KICKS GIRL show. Some blame circumstance and that nasty drinking incident at Cheers, yet others believe it to be the rivalry between lead vocalist Dennis Bua and drummer Devin Butler. Butler who is currently making his big crossover into acting has been accused by band members and fans of leaving BFE in "forgetville". His non-appearance at the April 23rd show only makes one wonder is Butler will be in BFE much longer. Only time will tell. Yet time has not been good for heart throb Scott Wilson. Sources say that he and fiancee Solmaaz Sarrafzedeh had a bit of a skirmish in the new hot-spot and BFE hangout "The Cubby Hole". A close friend reveals that the argument was brief but in front and plain view of many. So will Wilson be single once more? Fans can dream.
Yet Butler and Bua aren't the only members with problems. Stud guitar player Paul Durias apperantly had a "disagreement" with Wilson over the new set list for the Palo Alto show* this Saturday.
Insiders claim the constant touring has not been good for BFE. "They need to settle down and get back to work on thier CD." But Bua has been in and out of rehab all month. Last Thursday he fell off the horse and was picked up by some groupie at a happenin' underground party. Hopefully BFE will all move back into "apartment 143" and the music about "cute cool girls" will continue.
*BFE plays at the Palo Alto Teen Center on Saturday, April 17 at 8pm.

Could it be??? Is the long-awaited debut ep finally here??? Well, if all goes well according to plan, BFE's 7-song cd will finally be released on April 23rd. It will only be available at shows or purchased directly from the band members themselves. The ep will cost somewhere between 3 or 4 dollars. Sorry, but that's as cheap as we can make it. Fans, however, will be a little bit disappointed to hear that the legendary punk rock guitarist SCOTT "Ace" WILSON is not featured on this recording due to the fact that he was not yet in the band. The initial printing of the disk will be limited to only 50 copies, so get yours fast! The band also has plans to record their first full-length album in late April or early May. That's all for now.

"There goes the band"... Scott Wilson, guitar. That was the scene early last weekend at the practice of San Jose's own local pop-punk stars. The group who is usually shrouded in close-knit confidentiality was unusually vocal about the split. Frontman Dennis "I'm outta here". Paul, current heartthrob and guitarist "I just don't know, he just walked out". While rumors circulated it may have been over a "cute cool girl", others believed that it was the bad blood between drummer Devin and their unusually preppy lead singer. Yet news arrived on sunday that the pop-punk sensation would continue the tour. Insiders say that things are now better than ever and even hint at some new songs. For now, the world will wonder how much fact is grounded with the lyrics and where the fiction begins. Yet Scott Wilson sources say the new song by him alone is purely fiction and his relationship with star vocalist Solmaaz Sarrafzadeh is solid. No wedding plans have been annouced to the joy of fans. Yet one can never tell with BFE. Hopefully, the music will continue and Mr. Dennis Bua will resume position as frontman.

Word has it the band's sudden split was causedby bad blood between drummer Devin and frontman Dennis. The pop-punk's theme of girls leaves the press wondering "was it over a girl?"
