During the fall of 1996, three lonely idiots ( we'll call them "Alex", "Paul" and "Dennis" ) got together and started a band. This "band" consisted of only a guitar, an out-of-tune-bass and a "vocalist" who knew nothing about vocaling. In the winter of 1997, after over a year of sitting on their thumbs and playing "music that sounded like CRAP", these boys got themselves a drummer ( we'll call him "Devin" ) and a second guitarist ( we'll call him "Tim" ). Tim was a talented guy but the band just couldn't work with him, so they kicked him out after a month or two. On March 21, 1998, BFE played their first "show" in front of a small crowd in an even smaller garage that smelled like cat pee and vinegar. They played a crappy seven-song set and fucked up about 8 or 9 times. Oh well. The next month this guy ( we'll call him "Albert Beltran Jr."), saw the videotape of the show and for some sick reason, offered BFE the chance to record in Foothill College's studio. Sure enough, our heroes decided to take him up on his offer and in August, they recorded their first EP entitled "... she's not gonna call". For those of you who would like to find out what the hell happened to that recording can check out the news page. On October 9, 1998, on the way home from an MxPx show, BFE got themselves another guitarist (we'll call him "Scott"). Oh yeah, it was also Scott's birthday that night. Scott's first show with BFE came on Halloween night. He was unleashed to the public like a rabid dog with foam in his mouth. So that's about it, and the rest is history in the making...
