Dear Mr. Nielson, We are writing this letter on behalf of Tim Leon. We have known Tim since he was a very young man in our country community near Reedley, California. Our children, along with Tim, his brother and littler sister, attended the same small church and small country school. We never knew Tim to be in the least bit violent. On the contrary, he was a polite and mild mannered young man, with a bent toward electronics. I had a T.V. shop and Tim would come over and talk about electronics. We know that people, especially young people, can associate with the wrong crowd. In Tim's case, we believe in the end, fear is what gripped him that night and he has already paid a terrible price for that fear. We believe Tim could be an asset to any community. Sincerely, Mel & Barbara Grandal |
