Dear Mr. Neilson, My name is Kellie Brittain. I am the sister of Timothy J. Leon C-29681 who is incarcerated at Corcoran Prison. Even though my brother has been gone for a long time I remember as a child how important he was to me. I am grown now and still feel he is a very special person in my life. At one point in my life, there was only him I was able to talk to who was not there to judge me nor criticize me but just there to listen and give his support. I am writing this letter now to show him my support. I believe Tim is remorseful for what he has done and has used his time in prison in a productive way. He has not affiliated himself with any organizations or has ever been anything but cooperative with prison regulations. I also believe if he was granted his freedom he would be nothing less than law abiding and useful in our community. Tim has been very helpful to other inmates by using his knowledge in helping with their case or giving better understanding about the court system. Tim has taken Jesus into his life and has asked for forgiveness as well as being Saved. He also plays guitar in the church choir. He has lived his last sixteen years with God in his life and knows how to live a better life. Tim plans on residing with my Mother in Fresno, California. My mom owns her home and plans on someday giving it to Tim as his place to start a new life. I will help in providing clothing, food or transportation if needed and also have employment opportunities through my current boyfriend's business that can utilize his electronics skills. I know Tim is a well adjusted person who after spending sixteen years of his young life in prison is still focused on what's right and who is very sincere and cares for others and who is very sorry for his crime and plans on bettering his life once he is free. Sincerely yours, Kellie Brittain |
