Here is view #1 of the town hall at Fayette. There are several displays in this building. On the ground floor are butcher shop and barber shop displays and the real gem, in my opinion anyway, is the theater/opera house located on the second floor. |
I included this view of the exterior because it is a better view of the acute angles of the building walls. I'm not really sure why it was built this way other than it looked interesting. The building was not closely crowded by other structures when it was in use. |

Here is a shot of the theatre/opera house upstairs in the town hall. This is a great old space. The displays described many acts coming into town to entertain and I thought that was an interesting look into the life of small town America in the late 1800's. The scenery you see center stage is a canvas backdrop separating the stage and backstage area. |
