This is a new addition since my last visit in 1999. This is a reconstruction of one of the laborer's cabins that once lined this open area of Fayette. I was sceptical at first about how big it was, but one of the plaques at the site has photos of some of the original cabins and they do match up. The interiors are quite comfortably decorated and are not what I would expect of a poor laborer's house. Unfortunately the pics I took inside did not turn out so next trip I will try to get them right. |
