Technical Machines

There are fifty TMs in the game.  Listed here are all of the ones I have found plus the ability gained by using them.  I have found a few more than this but I used them before I decided to construct this page.  I think number fifty contains Psychic.   I will complete this as I find out what the TMs are.  Also I was going to put the location where they can be found at but I have no clue where most of them were found.

Hidden Machines

Also along your way you will be given five Hidden Machines.   Unlike Technical Machines these are necessary for completing the game.  Fly and Flash are the only two that are not necessary to find, however you will have a hard time getting through the rock cave without flash and fly is just convenient to have so you don't have to walk everywhere.

Hidden Machine Ability Learned
1 Cut
2 Fly
3 Surf
4 Strength
5 Flash

Cut is needed to get through several areas and is used to cut down the little weird bushes.  It does damage in battle as well.  Get this from the Captain of the SS Anne.

Fly lets you fly to any town you've been to on one of you're bird Pokémon.  It also allows you to do damage in battle and avoid damage for one round at the same time.   A person gives you this in a house near the downhill bike trail.

Surf is needed to reach Cinnabar Island, get through Route 23 on the way to the Pokémon League Headquarters, and to reach a few other hidden areas.  It allows you to cross water on a water Pokémon.  I haven't tested this technique in battle.Get this from Professor Oak's assistant in the look out tower on route 11 after collecting 30 Pokémon.

Strength is needed mostly in Victory Road but it is used a few other places.  It allows you to push rocks around.  It also does some damage when used in battle.   Get this from the owner of the Safari Park after finding his Gold teeth.

Flash is used once in Rock cave.  It allows you to see in the dark.  I haven't tested this technique in battle.  Get this in a hut near the Viridian exit of the Diglett cave.  Professor Oak's assistant gives it to you after you have ten Pokémon.
