When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build and cause lightning storms.

If there is a true mascot for Pokémon, this is it.  Due to fame given this electric rodent by the anime, Pikachu has gained instant stardom.   Everyone needs to have one of these cute little guys (or gals as you prefer).   I have found it isn't that great of a Pokémon.  I forced my first Pikachu to evolve into Raichu so I could trade it for and Electrode in Cinnabar Island.  I have since caught a new one and it's already on like level fifty.  I prefer Meowth from the show over Pikachu personally.
