Burrows to suck tree roots.  The mushrooms on it's back grow by drawing nutrients from the bug host.

Ow, that's gotta hurt with those things growing out of its back.  It looks more like a crab than a bug, and the evolved form, Parasect, REALLY looks like a crab.
