One Last Battle

Author's Note: This is not totally based on the anime. Different things, and this is a five parter. Respects to Nintendo, Game Freak, etc... Don't sue me, you won't get too much. Also, please ask if you wish to use my new Pokémon attacks, and Pokémon, ok? This part is the shortest one. Send everything to Silvabolt@aol.com or Jatalu@yahoo.com. Writing this with knowledge of watching 39 episodes of Pokémon and catching 137 Pokémon.

"Alright... let's finish this!"

Ash looked at the road up ahead. He sighed and checked his Pokédex. He had credit for having 145 Pokémon and for seeing 148 Pokémon. Ask summoned Pikachu and said, "Ready... buddy?" Pikachu shook his head in a negative impulse and said, "Pikapikapikachuuuu!" Ash said, "Sorry, Pikachu. This is you and me. One last time. We go on Victory Road by ourselves, Pikachu. Once we get to League Champion City, we'll face the 4 ultimate trainers and then.... the League Champion. You'll see your friends later, kay?" Pikachu nodded in his innocent way and hopped onto Ash's shoulder. Ash sighed and checked his jacket. All the badges were his. All he to do was become League Champion, catch Moltres, a Meowth, evolve the Meowth into a Persian, evolve Pikachu or catch a Raichu and then catch the Pokémon only murmured in dark places... Mewtwo. Ash put away his Master Pokeball in his Pocket and walked forward. It was time for the ultimate battle.

Author's Note: For purposes of my own, I am skipping the Victory Road Journey and skipping straight to the end of it. Moltres will be caught later.

Pikachu was barely conscious as Ash stripped off his jacket and wrapped it around Pikachu. Ash felt the blood on Pikachu's forehead and ran that much faster. Unfortunately, a rather large Fearow blocked the entrance to the Pokémon League Champions. Ash put Pikachu on the floor and summoned Scyther. Ash said, "Scyther, Swords Dance, then Mega Kick!" Scyther powered up and annihilated Fearow, blowing it aside. Ash made Scyther return, then picked up Pikachu who was bleeding badly. Ash smashed into the Pokémon center. He quickly told Nurse Joy about the Graveler who hurt Pikachu relentlessly until Pikachu put an end to the madness with a Thunder Attack. Nurse Joy quickly healed Pikachu with a Hyper Potion. Ash looked wide eyed and said, "What's that?" Nurse Joy said, "This? Oh. It's a Hyper Potion, the most expensive potion available besides a Maximum Potion." Ash got out 15,000 Poke-cash from his Gym Battles in Viridian City. He said, "How many Hyper Potions can I get?" Nurse Joy said, "Well, since these are your final battle I'll give you 20." Ash said, "How many uses is that?" Nurse Joy replied, "Just over 100." Ash quickly said, "Thank you," and walked forward into Pokémon Stadium.

Ash noted the coolness in the air and said, "Pikachu, ready?" Pikachu nodded happily and began to coo. He felt a small chill tingle down his spine as he saw the woman turn around. This mysterious woman pushed up her glasses and said, "Hello, Ash Ketchum. I've heard so much about you." Ash said, "What... have... you heard?" Lorelei said, "Good things, Ash Ketchum. But also bad things from this boy named... Gary Oaks." Ash felt rage bubble up inside him and said, "Lorelei, let's do this. I'm gonna be League Champion!" Lorelei said, "Good for you. But you will have to beat me and my 5 Pokémon first." Ash said, "Wait, I have to bring my Pokémon out. Bring yours out." Lorelei retorted, "Quiet, boy. No one tells me what to do, but for now I will oblige with your request. Since I am much more experienced trainer than you, I'll summon my Packmen first." Ash smiled happily. This silly lady would fall into his trap. Ash saw a Dewgong, a Cloyster, a Jynx, a Lapras, and a Slowbro. Ash said, "Good choices... Time to lose though." Lorelei snorted rudely. Ash said, "Charizard! Zapdos! Pikachu! Flareon! Magmar! Let's go!!!!!!!"

Lorelei said, "Alright Dewgong! Let's win this match!" Dewgong jumped into the water. Ash said, "Alright! A Water Pokémon... hummm.... Pikachu! GOOOOOO!!!!!" Pikachu let out a Pika and dived into the Water. Ash said, "Pikachu! Thunder!!!!!!!" Pikachu let out an enormous Pika as his Electric Sacks flared with energy, climaxing in the water conducting over 100,000 volts of electricity. Dewgong was too slow to run out in time. Smoking, Anime style, Dewgong exploded of the water and landed at Lorelei's feet. Lorelei said, "DEWGONG!!!! NO!!!!!!" Lorelei gave an icy stare at Ash and said, "JYNX!!! Annihilate that Pikachu!!!" Jynx appeared on the scene. Pikachu let a, "Pikaaaaaaachuuuuu!" and with that jumped in the air towards Jynx. Ash said...."NO!!!!!!!!!! Not yet!!!!!" Pikachu in mid-air said, "Pika Pika?" It was too late. Lorelei giggled and said, "Jynx! Freeze that insolent Pikachu with a Blizzard Attack." Pikachu had a twin drop of sweat as he was frozen from the icy breath of Jynx.

Ash whipped out a Ice Heal, dug his hand into Pikachu's throat, stuffed it in and put Pikachu on his shoulder. Pikachu let out a chilly Pika and moaned in pain. Ash said, "Charizard, Do IT!" Charizard screamed and appeared on the scene. Jynx squealed in fear and ran behind Lorelei. Lorelei said, "Don't worry Jynx! You are too powerful to lose!" Jynx regained a little confidence and wiggled forward. Ash said, "Alright, Charizard! Let's Finish this!!!!!!!!!!!! Fire Blast!!!!!!" Charizard gurgled his throat for a few seconds and suddenly erupted in power. A continuos blast of raw fire spurt from his throat. Jynx ran in terror. Lorelei said, "Careful, Jynx!!!!" Ash said, "Alright, Lorelei... I didn't want to do this.... Stop, Charizard." Charizard immediately stopped. Lorelei quickly said, "Why did you....." Ash retorted, "Time for Jynx to lose that's why. Charizard, it's time to annihilate this Jynx... Use the Flare Slash." Charizard said, "Izard!!!!!!!," and with that his claws burst into flames. Charizard quickly drew a circle of fire around Jynx. The ice Pokémon was surrounded. Ash said, "Either take Jynx out of this battle, Lorelei, or I will let my Charizard finish his attack. Lorelei said, "If I lose... will Jynx die?" Ash said, "No. I will Revive it." Lorelei said, "No. Jynx... return. Cloyster... Let's go!!!!" Ash said, "That's it? A Cloyster? And a weak one too. Yeesh, let's go, Zapdos." Suddenly a rumble shook the building. Ash let a quick smile out as the large bird of electricity appeared.

Zapdos squawked as it ferociously slashed at Cloyster's intense, hard shell. Ash said, "Damn it! It's too hard!" Lorelei said, "Alright Cloyster! Time to do this! Let loose an Aurora Beam!" The Cloyster's shell slowly cracked open. Suddenly, the face exploded in a white beam of energy headed towards Zapdos. Ash said, "Oh, crap! Zapdos!!!! Fight back with Thunder Beam!" Zapdos flew towards the beam and let loose a barrage of Thunder. The beams intertwined with each other, but in the end, Cloyster won, and Zapdos was hit with it's own blast and Cloyster's. Zapdos slowly stirred itself from the blast and screamed in pain. Ash said, "Zapdos, calm down. It's ok. Zapdos, it's over... finish off this pesky freak with Oblivion. Zapdos screeched in anger as it's Thunder Sack erupted in fury, forming a huge electric Zapdos that swallowed Cloyster whole. hen, the terror began. The electric Zapdos began shocking Cloyster repeatedly. Lorelei said, "Stop, Ash! I submit." Ash said, "Ok. Zapdos, time to stop." Zapdos squawked and released the electric Zapdos's energy, immediately freeing Cloyster, who was in pain. Lorelei said, "Alright, let's finish this match. I will not allow Slowbro to fight in this match. Lapras will be your final battle. Who shall you choose?"

Ash said, "Pikachu... bud... you ready?" Pikachu let a "Pika" out, and ran towards Lapras. Lapras loomed over Pikachu. Pikachu looked back at Ash. Ash said, "Pikachu... you need to heal... try the move I taught you..." Pikachu said, "Pikapikapikapikapikachuuuuuuu!!!!!!," and with a mighty electric explosion, Pikachu was covered in a vast energy field. Lapras, out of curiosity, touched the field with it's fin and was given a good 20,000 volt shock for it's trouble. The Pokémon howled in pain. Pikachu slowly absorbed the energy field until it enveloped his entire body. Pikachu walked up to Lapras and kicked it. Lapras was shocked worse. Pikachu let out a happy yell. Lorelei turned around, back to Ash. Lorelei asked, "H-How do your Pokémon know such effective, new attacks? T-T-tell me now." Ash said, "How about this... you be quiet, and I'll tell everyone when I'm League Champion. Pikachu... Knock Lapras out with Finishing Shock." Pikachu used Agility to speed up tremendously and burned onto Lapras, latching onto it's neck, whipping it and holding on to Lapras for several seconds. Finally, the tremendous force of Lapras's shaking knocked Pikachu into Ash's hands." Lapras moaned in pain as it fell to it's side.

Lorelei fell onto her knees. She was shocked at this Pokémon Trainer's secret attacks. Ash helped Lorelei up, helping her jerk back into reality. Ash said, "Well, Lorelei, I won." Lorelei said, "Yes. You certainly did. Um... pick the 6 Pokémon you choose for your next battle. All I can say is don't pick Fire Pokémon. You can go ahead." (I am using the idea of switching Pokémon anytime, a concept in the anime. If you don't believe watch Bill's Lighthouse, the one where Ash catches Krabby. It'll explain.) Ash said, "Humm.... no fire, eh? Well, I think Pikachu, Dragonite, Primeape, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Alakazam should do fine." Lorelei said, "I hope... Bruno has insanely powerful Pokémon... and good luck, kid." Ash looked back at Lorelei as he and Pikachu walked toward their next battle. Ash looked forward. This was truly the beginning of the end... wasn't it? Pikachu cooed, "Pikapikachuuuu...." and with that the tremendous League doors shut behind Ash and Pikachu. Lorelei sat down beside Lapras, taking out Maximum Potions and Band-Aids. She hoped this one would win.

Bruno sat in the darkness. He blinked his eyes and felt through his hair. He stood in the shadow... and waited.
