Zakura's Mirage (Samurai Showdown 64 Faq)
Samurai Shodown 64 Faq
Samurai Showdown 64 features 3-D graphics on SNK's Hyper Neo Geo 64, hardware that combines top-of-the-line 3-D capabilities with the best 2-D chipset. There are 11 playable characters in the game. Nine of them are returning characters from the previous Samurai Showdown games. They are:Haohmaru, Genjuro, Nakoruru, Rimururu, Galford, Hanzo, Kazuki, Sogetsu, and Ukyo. The remaining 2 new characters are Shiki and Hanma. There is also a mysteriousSub-boss who is well over 2 normal characters lengths tall! Ankokushin is the last boss.
There's a Shura and Rasetsu which is the Slash/Bust option. After you select your black and white character, the character selections below are replaced with 2 rectangles (Shura and Rasetsu). There are 3 attack buttons. "A" is for defensive attacks, and can also be used for throwing opponents or knocking them down. "B" is used for offensive. "C" is a more dramatic offensive move, which uses the sword. "D" is for controling your character, moving them around (Hey! They can move in circles!). "AB" allows your character to do a Guard Crush. "ABC" preforms the Rage Explosion (from SS4) and the multiple slashes after you use the Rage Explosion. "BCD" preforms a deadly single stroke called "it-shoon". To do a small jump, tap up. To do a normal jump, hold up.
The game has 2 lifebars, also known as "Energy Bars". Below the Energy Bars is the Rage Gauge. Pressing "ABC" after using the Gauge will make your character do a mutiple slash suto-combo. Chain combos are still possible, but the 14 Hitter is now gone. Pressing "BCD" after the Explosion will execute the Deadly Single Stroke, and only that once.
Kuroko is back! He appears everytime there is a tie at a time over. The screen then freezes, and Kuroko will appear with his flags. The point is to settle the tie, when he starts the fight, the first player to hit attack button will execute the Deadly Single Stroke and kill the other player!
