Chinese Keyboard
Super-imposed on the QWERTY keyboard, are several Chinese input keyboards. They are:
ZhuYin FuHao
Also known as bopomofo, the first four characters of the set representing b, p, m, f initials. It consists of 37 characters (21 initials, 16 rhymes including medials) representing the sounds of PuTongHua Mandarin, there are also four extra characters representing tones.

Apart from the letter v, all alphabetic keys on the QWERTY keyboard is used.
The first two are ways in which the sounds of the Mandarin Chinese Standard PuTongHua language are represented. The method known as CangJie depends on attributes of the written character which are represented by character acronyms which represents these attributes and therefore independent on the pronunciation of the character itself.
Note :
Zhuyin (and hence Pinyin) i, u and ü represented by the qwerty keys
u, j, and m respectively, divided the keyboard layout into initials
on the left and endings on the right.

ZhuYin FuHao uses four characters as follows [Initial] + [Medial] + [Rhyme] + [Tone]. An example is the sound guang3 which is represented as ㄍㄨㄤˇ [g]+[u]+[ang]+[tone 3]. The keyboard does not give the first tone, which is often given as a horizontal line above the first vowel in PinYin romanisation. Tone 2 is [ˊ], Tone 3 as given above is [ˇ], Tone 4 is [ˋ], whilst as a result of the rules of tone sandhi for Mandarin Putonghua, the unstressed tone is sometimes written with the dot, [．].
Non - ZhuYin Characters
There are a few character which are used which is not part of the normal set of ZhuYin FuHao characters. They are for initial ng- 
, initial v- 
, initial gn- 
and retroflex i 
. These have been used in other Chinese languages, especially, on Taiwan.
