October 19, 2002 ~ Sylva/Cherokee, North Carolina
On Saturday, October 19th, 2002, my friend Sara Haselman wed Scott Freeman at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Sylva. It was a rather long ceremony, but I've been told that all Roman Catholic weddings are like that. After the ceremony, we drove over to the Great Smokie Mountain Convention Center in Cherokee, where we had the Reception. The Reception itself was nice, not very grand or anything, but okay. As you can expect the happy bride the usual stuff like the first dance, cutting of the cake, throwing the bouquet (though, for some reason I kept thinking corset), and slinging the garter belt. Afterwards, Sara and Scott drove off through the Great Smoky Mountains to Gatlinburg, where they had there Honeymoon. Overall, a pleasant wedding!
