Kiyone is our intelligent detective who is introduced in episode five. Poor Kiyone... she has no choice but to babysit her partner! Our galactic duo find themselves sharing an apartment together on Earth when HQ decide they are to be Resident Officers! Kiyone is our "victim" character, who has a dream to climb to the top with the Galaxy Police, only to find herself with a clumsy partner that drags her down.Although Kiyone does not appear in the OAV series , she plays a strong role in the Tenchi Universe (TV series) and the Tenchi Muyo! in Love movie.  

Kiyone is Mihoshi's opposite--sensible, logical, responsible, serious, and mentally stable. She is image of the perfect Galaxy Police Detective First Class. In the TV series, Mihoshi appears in the first episode, perusing Ryoko. Kiyone appears in episode #5, looking for Mihoshi. She also seems to be a master of disguise--in the Tenchi Muyo! in Love movie, she effortlessly becomes a high School janitor, tour bus hostess, and tourist. She can also handle Washu's Dimensional Cannon pretty well, too!  

As Mihoshi's partner, she must try to remain sane as well as keep Mihoshi out of trouble. She cares for Tenchi, but is not as obsessed as the rest of the female characters.
