This page is all about the
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Saturn. Also known as Hotaru Tomoe. Her name means "firefly of earth". Hotaru's first appearance was in around the final of Sailormoon Super. Hotaru is a mysterious girl who has the ability to heal injuries. And because of this strange power, people at school are afraid to become her friend. Hotaru may be very shy but she is also very graceful and well-mannered. When she is Sailor Saturn she carries around a polearm known as "The Silence Glaive". With this, she has the power to destroy a whole planet. That fits in very well with her because in Greek mythology, the god Saturn is known as the god of destruction and death.
Hotaru lives in a mansion with her father. Her mother passed away when she was very young. Hotaru's father, Professor Tomoe is a Bio-engineering specialist. He risked his life to save Hotaru's by giving up his soul to Farao90, an alien demon. He then is taken over by Farao90 and starts using his ability to create monsters to collect tailsmans. As a result of Hotaru's rebirth, she is a combination of Mistress9 and Sailor Saturn. Mistress9 is one of Farao90's marionettes and her only goal is to destroy all life on Earth.

Hotaru first meets Chibiusa at a park when Chibiusa's hat gets blown away by the wind and Hotaru helps get it back for her. Chibiusa then introduces herself and Hotaru is surprised by her friendliness. The two of them quickly become close friends. Soon after, Chibiusa finds out the many secrets of Hotaru and vows to help her at all costs.
