Densetu no Yuusha da Garn

Densetu no Yuusha da Garn or Legendary Strength da Garn was Sunrises boy mecha show that ran from 2-8-92 to 1-23-93 with 46 episodes. There seemed to be some fan following for it at the time, but it wasn't even to get Sunrise to do an OVA for it. They were very busy with Cyber Formula OVA's at the time.

The hero of the story is Seiji and his other identity as the pilot of the da Garn. The mecha ship of the title. There are also his friends, Hikaru and Hotaru and Yanchar, who has his own mecha the Seven Changer. Together they fight the bad guys and in the end save the planet with a pretty cool ending. I will try to include the link for anyone to read the ending if they wish it. The cels below are of Seiji, Yanchar in his Seven Changer Uniform, Hikaru, the brown haired girl and Yanchar with Seiji's mother,Misuzu.
