Sega / Sega Saturn
Sega / Sega Saturn Sega Enterprises was established after World War II as an importer of used pinball machines into Japan.  In the 1960s, Sega began production of its own machines and in the 1970's introduced the first video arcade system in Japan.

In the early 1980's Sega enjoyed limited success with the Master System.  In the late 1980's to early 90's however, with the release of the Sega Genesis, Sega grew into one of the biggest names in the video game business.

In 1994, Sega released the Sega Saturn system.  Although the system did not sell as hot as the Sony Playstation in the US, It still maintain a healthy sales figures (well over the N64) in the Japanese market.
