| Outside Japan, the PHS system
is unheard off. However, in Japan, it's the cheaper alternative to a cellunar
phone. You see, a PHS system or Personal Handyphone System is land-based,
rather than a cell-phone which uses satellite-based transmissions. In effect,
the PHS system has a clearer signal (digital) and a cheaper price at the
cost of a shorter range.
This NERV model is again, a typical PHS that can be bought in Japan. However, the main difference is that this one has the NERV logo as well as a NERV carrying case. |
