The first Evangelion ever built in the series is actually one of the last in the Ban Dai model series.  This Eva-00 in the original orange color comes with a Rei Ayanami with only the basic Evangelion weaponry.  It also does not include the shoulder blades which all other Evangelions have.

The second in the model series is this Eva-00' Proto Type model.  This one pictures the Eva-00' in the blue format.  Unlike the first orange one, this model contains a wider range of Evangelion weaponry such as: Lance of Longinus, Shuttle Shield, and much more.  Included in this model is a second pose for a plastic Rei Ayanami and Dr. Ritsuko Akagi.

First in the line of Ban Dai Evangelion models, this Eva-01 Test Type comes in two formats: special and normal editions.  This one shows the box of the normal edition with a plastic model of Shinji Ikari.  It includes a range of Evangelion weaponry (some of which are exclusive to Eva-01) such as a pulsitron rifle, spear and much more.

This model of Shinji Ikari's Eva 01 is more HG (high grade) than the first release.  Aside from having just the Evangelion model itself, the pilot and some weapons, this newer one has the Eva's complete range of weaponry, an Evangelion rest stand and a removable face mask.

Perhaps the most humanoid of the Angels (with the exception of the Thirteenth, of course), Sachiel is actually a good break after assembling rather similar Evangelion models.  Aside from that, well...you get two small figures in the guise of Kensuke Aida and Hikari Horaki.

Asuka's Eva-02 Production Model is probably one of the hardest to find.  Containing the normal range of Evangelion weaponry which includes an axe, spear, rifle, etc.  This Eva-02 also includes a plastic model of Asuka Langley and Misato Katsuragi.

The black model of the Eva-03 is one of the coolest colors in the bunch.  This Eva-03 which was only seen in 1 episode includes the normal range of Evangelion weaponry with the addition of the handheld pulsitron rifle which is exclusive to the Eva-03.  This model also includes a plastic figure of Touji Suzuhara.

A slightly modified version of Touji's Eva 03, Bardiel features a changed plug chamber (which actually shows the stuck plug), lower arms (around as tall as the Eva itself) and a permanently opened mouth.

Not seen in the entire Evangelion series, Eva-04 was only conceived in the production sketches of Gainax.  When the model for Eva-04 came out, one notices that Eva-03 and 04 look almost alike but with minor cosmetic changes.  Eva-04's paint color is different from the rest of the Evas as it uses a reflective silver paint and not matte colors like the previous models.  It includes a minor range of weaponry and has 3 plastic figures: child figures of Rei, Asuka and a little monkey doll.

Seen in Evangelion: Death and Evangelion: Rebirth, the Eva 05 once again only slightly differs from the rest of the Evangelion models.  It's biggest difference of course, it the presence of wings in the model.  The absence of a mouth can also be said to make a slight difference.

The perfect form of Eva 05 after the Third Impact has accured.  Once again, slight differences with the first Eva 05 and this one.  This is also the hardest model to find these days, maybe because of the fact that production was limited during the course of the Eva movies.

This is the special version of Eva-01.  Unlike the other models, this one is already pre-painted with the correct colors and all the necessary details have already been placed (such as stickers, body lines, etc.)  I do not have details on what plastic figure it contains, but the weaponry included with the Perfect Grade Evangelion is the complete weaponry seen in the series.  So far, this is the most expensive and most "hard to get" Evangelion model of all.

Its inevitable really.  If you're a follower of Evangelion model making, make sure you try to get this book if you find yourself getting frustrated in putting together and painting your Evangelions.  This book gives you tips and hints on how to do it the professional way.
