Evangelion CD 1 Neon Genesis  Evangelion Sound Track Volume 1

Your typical run-off-the-mill CD.  This compact disc contains the extended version (full version) of the opening credits as well as an extended version of the ending credits as well.  Aside from that this CD contains all the background music used in the series (from episode 1-7).  This CD also contains the Asuka "Fly me to the moon" pop version.

Neon Genesis  Evangelion Sound Track Volume 2

Much like the first one, the second volume of the Evangelion soundtrack contains 1 bonus song from Takahashi Yooko, the artist of the opening credits.  This CD also contains the TV version of the "Thesis of A Cruel Angel" song.  The main bulk of the CD contains the sound track for the middle episodes of Evangelion plus 5 different versions of "Fly Me to the Moon".

Neon Genesis  Evangelion Sound Track Volume 3

The volume 3 of the series sound track contains 2 new songs from Takahashi Yooko.  Aside from that, it includes the sound track from the later episodes which also include 10 versions of "Fly Me to the Moon" which was sung by different artists.

Evangelion Death Sound Track

The first part of the two-parter Evangelion Movie sound track, Evangelion Death is actually a compilation of earlier compositions and other musical reditions.  Most of the tracks in this disc have a somber feel to it since most of it deals with a Death theme.

End of Evangelion Evangelion  Sound Track

The end of Evangelion sound track contains the original musical score for the movie plus the ending song and a bonus song. Take note that some of the score used in End of Evangelion are actually classical music from rather famous composers.

Evangelion CD Addition Neon Genesis Evangelion Addition

What's so different about this CD compared to the original sound track?  Well for starters we have the opening credits as sung by the seiyuu or the voice actors (Rei's voice is kinda cute).  As well as the ending songs as sung by Misato, Asuka, Rei and as a group once more.  Although it may sound fun, some tracks of this CD are dedicated to Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and the Halleluia thingamajig.  Anyway, there is also a length dialogue between characters here (track 2) which take up more than 21 minutes of the CD time.

Evangelion: Refrain

The songs featured in Evangelion: Refrain are not necessarily from the Evangelion television or movie series. The songs in Refrain were the ones that inspired the music of Evangelion. Thus, don't be surprised to hear Frank Sinatra sing "Fly Me to the Moon", or something like that. However, Thesis of the Cruel Angel (a new version) is a part of this CD.
