Sketches and artwork from the first Neon Genesis Evangelion actually has a male dominant theme.  From the title itself, which is Adam, this art book centers around the male characters of Evangelion from Shinji to Gendo to Kaworu.

The second artbook that Gainax released was entitled Eve.  And judging from the title, we know that all the characters in this art book are dominantly female.  Sketches and pictures galore of well-loved characters from Rei to Asuka to Misato are all here.

The third and last artbook of the series.  This one is dedicated to sketches and artwork from the mechs of Evangelion.  There are also some detailed artwork on things such as equipment, Angels and more.

After releasing sketch books in the category of gender, Gainax then released a 'best of' type of book, this time with the characters as their category of choice.  These art books (Rei, as this one is) is actually smaller when compared to the other art books in the whole Eva collection.

This is the second 'best of' sketches and pics.  This one features Asuka Langley Sohryu.  It's actually smaller than the other art books (around six inches), and artwork was actually repeated in some other sketch book.
