"You ruined my debut battle in Japan!"  
    "What are you talking about? You were the only one making the decision, Asuka."  

     Asuka and Shinji both tries to put the blame on each other. Even Shinji can't stand Asuka's pride and elete-mentality.  

     The new Angel has taken some damage from the united Nation's N2 mine and has temporarily ceased to function. Noticing that the Core of this new Shito is vulnerable when it splits in two, Misato hatches an attack plan. However, to make this work, they need complete cooperation between Shinji and Asuka. To get these two to accomplish this, Misato comes up with an idea.  

     "Okay, you two... Try to memorize the attack pattern according to this music. We need perfect synchronization from you guys."  

     Shinij and Asuka's special training starts. Only six days till Shito's second attack... However, the training didn't go as smoothly as planned. 

     "Of COURSE it's not working! I can't go slower to match Shinji!"  

     Misato shows Rei and Shinji's perfect synchronization to Asuka.  

     "Well, we might as well change the plan and have Rei carry out the plan with Shinji instead of Asuka."  

     Asuka leaves. Her pride... She yells at Shinji when he comes after her.  
  
     "OKAY! All I have is piloting EVA!"  

     Despite their conflicts, they continue their training.  

     The night before Angel's attack... Half-asleep, Asuka ends up in Shinji's     bed by accident and falls asleep there. Shinji notices tears in her closed eyes.  

     "Ma...ma..."  

     Shinji realizes that her strong pride is only a shell covering her frail mind. The weight on her shoulders right now... It was too heavy a burden for a girl that's long ways away from home... She was, in ways, just like Shinji himself.  

      "And she calls me a kid..."  

     The morning comes, and Angel is nearing the Tokyo-3.  

    "Okay? Go full power from the start and finish him off."  

    "Right! We'll finish him before 62 seconds are up"  

     Both Evas move in perfect synch according to the music, and their    combination overpowers the Angel. 62 seconds later, Eva emerges victorious.
