Ah, The Main Characters! These are the people you see in almost every epsiode... (Well maybe except Gary, like I said "a few acceptions...") Lets start!

Name: Ash Ketchum
Main Rival: Gary Oak
Rivals known so far: Misty, A.J., Gym leaders, Other Pallet Town Trainers, Other trainers, Team Rocket (not really) Town/City: Pallet Town
Main Goal: To be the best Pokemon Master in the world


Ash is very hyperactive sometimes, but he is very, and I mean VERY, determined to get to his goal. Ash starts off with Pikachu, because all the others were taken. Ash and Pikachu soon become the best of friends. Maybe it wasn't so bad that he overslept after all. He always wears his "OFFICIAL POKEMON LEAGUE" hat. (He had to send in about 100 postcards!) Later on Misty and Brock join his quest to help him in any way they can. Ash starts out slow, but he soon becomes the very best thanks to his friends' advice.



Ash also likes to taunt Misty alot and they seem to always fight, even about little things.

Rivals known so far: Ash Ketchum, Gym leaders, Gray Oak, Other Trainers, Team Rocket
Town/City: Cerulean City
Main Goal: To be a Pokemon Master, to make Ash notice her more, and to get another Bike ^^;

Misty might seem like someone who yells alot, picky, and all that other stuff, but she's really very nice. She has been called a "brat" by Team Rocket's Jessie, countless of times. Her personality is happy, cheerful, and sometimes, just plain cute. She is the fourth sensational sister of the Cerulean Gym. She perfers Water type pokemon, then any other. She always seems to pick on Ash, and they always fight about the littlest things. She starts off following him, claiming that the bike incident is the only reason. But she really likes Ash alot and doesn't want to admit it.




It seems like most of the time she doesn't care about pokemon at all, just looking for cute ones, but she truly cares about them. For some strange reason, Misty's eyes change color. In some episodes, they are blue. Other episodes, they are green. Does she wear contacts?



Name: Brock (last name unknown, email me if you know it)

Rivals known so far: Suzie, Other Breeders
Town/City: Pewter City
Main Goal: To be the best Pokemon Breeder and get a girlfriend


Brock was the gym leader of Pewter Gym, but he wanted to leave home so he could become a pokemon breeder. But because of his father, he was unable to leave. He had to take care of his little brothers and sisters. But one day his father returned, so he joined Ash and Misty on their adventure. He has some problem, maybe because he wasn't able to leave the city, about getting a crush every time he sees a pretty girl. He even tried to get Officer Jenny out on a date!


Name: Gary Oak
Main Rival: Ash Ketchum
Rivals known so far: Other Pallet Town trainers, Other trainers
Town/City: Pallet Town
Main Goal: To the best, first pokemon Master from Pallet Town



Gary is Professor Oak's grandson. He was first to get a pokemon and to leave Pallet town. Gary is in the lead, followed by the other two pokemon trainers then Ash. Gary and Ash used to be great friends until Gary started to get competive. Gary likes to make Ash's self-esteem go down, so one time he wrote "Gary was here, Ash is a Loser", on the Cerulean City sign on the route. Gary's old self might of had a better personality, but I think he's just acting like a Jerk right now because he thinks he's surperior. He always has some girl "Fan Club" around him. Brock even tried asking them out!


Name: Jessie
Main Rival: None
Rivals known so far: Ash and his Friends, Other "better" Rocket Members
Town/City: Known as "Big Jess" in a group of Bikers near Sunnytown
Main Goal: To capture the rarest pokemon in the world


Jessie seems to always think she's the leader of Team Rocket. She likes to dream alot, just like the other Rocket members. Whenever her "perfection" is ruined, she either beats up the person/pokemon/thing that did it, or sends out her Ekans/Arbok to attack them. Most of the plans that actullay work, she claims their her idea. Plans that fail... well she blames them on James and Meowth! She likes to put "beauty before work". Maybe thats one of the problems with their plans failing ;P



Name: James

Rivals known so far: Ash and his friends, Other "better" Rocket Members
Town/City: Known as "Little Jim" in a group of Bikers near Sunnytown
Main Goal: To capture all the rarest pokemon in the world


I've heard that James came from a rich family, and joined Team Rocket to get away from the "Rich life". James always carries a rose with him, "Sometimes beautiful things can be painful". James always gets beaten up by Jessie and bossed around but it looks like he forgives her.
