About Misty in the Game |
|||||||
Misty in the game is the second Gym Leader you face, the keeper of the Casade Badge. In Pokemon Red and Blue, Misty is a purple headed girl who has her hair pulled to the side. She is wearing a Black bikini. In Pokemon Yellow, she looks just like the Misty in the anime. She has 2 Junior Gym Trainers. They have Horsea, Shellder, and Goldeen. In both versions, Misty's 2 Pokemon are Staryu at Level 18, and Starmie at Level 21. Since her chosen type is Water, use a Bulbasaur, Paras, or a Pikachu at around Level 20. Staryu basically uses Tackle, and is fairly easy to defeat. Misty always opens the battle with X-Defend on Starmie, making it harder to defeat Starmie. Unlike Staryu, Starmie has more than just a Tackle attack. Starmie's strongest move is the Watery Bubble Beam, which you'll get the chance to own after your victory. After you defeat Misty, you get the Cascade Badge. The Cascade Badge lets you use Cut anytime, and makes sure all your Pokemon up to Level 30 obey. (Thank GOD! My Pokemon are always goofing off by the time I reach Misty ^_^) I played the game 4 times (Gotta catch 'em all!) and I've taught the TM to Squirtle, Jigglypuff, and Clefairy twice. If you don't have a Squirtle, but have a Clefairy, I highly recommend teaching Bubble Beam to Clefairy. I'd recommend using the TM right away, for on your way to Bill's there are a lot of Rock and Ground Pokemon. |
