About Misty in the Anime

Misty is the lovable red-head in the show. With her trusty mallet in hand, and her sneakers on her feet, she is always ready, willing and able to bop anyone and anything she deems stupid, shallow, dumb, inappropriate, etc. But Misty has a heart made of gold, especailly having a soft spot for Pokemon (and Ash).

Misty is around 11 years old, about the same age as Ash. She is the youngest sister of 4, and considered the "runt". Her sisters run the Cerulean City Pokemon Gym, but do a lowsy job of it. Misty is much more talented in Pokemon training then Daisy, Rose, and Lily combined. Misty's sisters rather be putting make-up on or doing one of their shows then running the Gym. Misty will probably take the Gym out of their hands
someday when she's older. She doesn't want to be resricted on what she can or cannot do at a young age. Misty wants to spend her time exploring and learning about Pokemon. If she doesn't take over the Gym, I think a Pokemon Doctor or Nurse  would be a good career for Misty.

Because she grew up in the Gym, Misty is a Water Pokemon trainer. Her Gym's reputation is very important to her, and values the Cascade Badge, not letting just anybody get it. She won't easily lose a fight. Her Pokemon are in top shape, and will obey her command. Misty's Pokemon are Staryu, Starmie, Horsea, Goldeen, Psyduck, Dewgong, and Togepi.

Misty can be rather serious at times, but doesn't like it show it. At first, Misty can seem nothing but a bratty, rude, selfish, loud-mouth girl, but is proved not to be when you look deeper.

Misty first met up with Ash during the first episode. She was the girl fishing, minding her own business, and unitentionally saved Ash and Pikachu. Ash...*ahem* borrowed (LOL) her bike and, to put it midly, trashed it. So Misty began to follow Ash. I think at that time she actually DID want her bike. But it didn't take long
for that to reason last. Misty began to like Ash, and decided to use the bike as an excuse. After while, her feelings grew, and tried to prove to Ash that she wasn't 'just a girl who traveled with him'.  (Hense, less arguments between them and less metioned about her bike.)

Misty is usally seen in a yellow sleeveless shirt, short blue jean shorts, and a pair of red suspenders. Her red hair is pulled to the side in a ponytail with a little blue rubber band. She is usally carrying a red backpack, mainly used for carring Togepi and her Poke Balls.

Misty is by far my fave character in the show. No desciption can describe Misty, for she is a very complex character. Like Ash, throughout the show you can easily see her mature.
