The Story

Taken from Animerica Vol. 5

I'm in a very bad mood right now so listen carefully as I tell you the story. I'll only say it once then I'm off to the girls locker rooms!! It all started when Soun Tendo operates a dojo. He's hardly getting any students so he makes a plan for his friends son which would be Ranma marry one of his 3 daughters. He could marry either Kasumi, 19 years old, Nabiki, 17 years old, or Akane, 16 years old and thus carry on the dojo together. But when they show up it appears that they have both fallen into the cursed springs of Juseynko. When you fall into one of these whenever your splashed with cold water you turn into whatever died in there last. Unfortunantely for Ranma he falls into one where a girl has died and so he turns into a girl whenever spalshed with cold water. But when splashed with warm water he turns back into a man. His father, Genma Saotome turns into a panda. Akane Tendo being a the tom-boyish ill tempered type was quickly chosen as Ranma's bride by her two older sisters. At first Akane has no patience for Ranma but soon she falls in love with Ranma. Ranma on the other hand thinks that Akane is "uncute" but she is very popular at school. She has even won the heart of Tatewaki Kuno a pompous, poetry quoting teenager and Kendo champion. When he hears that Ranma and Akane are engaged he gets really mad and challenges Ranma to many fights. But soon he is distracted by the appearance of a red headed "pigtail girl" which is actually girl-type Ranma. He then secretlyplans to win both Akane and girl-type Ranma. Oh my gosh I gotta go but there's more tha happens and more characters come in. Blah Blah blah and so on. I'll continue this some other time. Gotta go!!
