Mano Yohko was a normal sixteen year old girl who was enraptured by life and the oposite sex. She lives in her house with her grandmother (who was the 107^thMamono Hunter/Devil Hunter) and her man crazy,sex obssesed mother. She is also a good fighter and is pretty nimble because she was being trained by her grandmother, Madoka, in martial arts. But that's not all there is to Yohko. She soon finds out that demons roaming the earth (and who mostly take over young mens souls) want her either dead or devirginized (see: first oav episode). So her grandmother tells Yohko that their family has been the hunters of these demons and this talent has been passed on from generation to generation. Thus, Yohko's true purpose in life: To be the 108^th generation MAMONO HUNTER/DEVIL HUNTER!

As a Devil Hunter, Yohko now posseses the power to destroy everything evil. This power becomes stronger as she gets older. Pretty soon, she is joined by a mamono hunter trainee named Azusa and their Mamono Hunter agent and Yohko's bestfriend, Chikako. More people come into this wonderful story like her ancestress, Haruka, and a look-a-like evil twin counterpart,Ayako. Alot more people are featured in this wonderous story which makes Devil Hunter Yohko as cool as can be.
