1989年,梁漢文參加了由TVB所舉辦的第八區新秀歌唱大賽.
在比賽之後,他便簽約成為華星娛樂旗下的歌星.
在1991年,梁漢文出了他第一張個人廣東大碟想
"著你等著你"而正式步入了歌壇.
在1994年,梁漢文的 "壹精選"專輯獲得雙白金. 因此更奠定了他在香港娛樂圈的地位. 自此之後,,他所有的專輯幾乎都能榮獲雙白金的銷售成績.
而1996年可說是他最得意的一年. 他的一首單曲"呼吸" 更是贏得了許多主要流行排行榜的獎項.
梁漢文在香港已成為最受大家歡迎的歌星之一了. 目前他共出了9張的廣東專輯.
在1996年,他開始在許多的電影中擔任演出.不久之前, 也演了一齣電視劇連續劇. Edmond的下一步就是要擴展他的演藝事業到台灣市場.
其實早在'94-95年時他便有許多前往台灣發展的計畫.
可是因為一些流言所傷因此至今都還沒有實現這個願望.
不過近期之內,Edmond在今年將會出他的第一張國語大碟

In 1989. Edmond joined the 5th Annual New Talent Singing Contest hosted by TVB. After placing in the contest, he became a contracted Singer of Capital Artists Records HK. In 1991, Edmond Released his first album "著你等著你" and officially entered the singing industry. In 1994, Edmond recieved 2 platinum records sales award for his album"壹精選", which established his position in the HK entertainment industry. Ever since then, almost every one of his album has reached the double platinum sales record. 1996 was one of the best years for Edmond, his hit song "呼吸" won many major awards in the award ceremonies last year. Edmond is now one of the most popular singers in HK today. And has released 9 cantonese albums thus far. In 1996, Edmond also started acting in many movies, and not too long ago, a new television series. Edmond's next step is to expand his career to the Taiwan market , there were plans to go to Taiwan ever since '94-95, but it still hasn't came true.. rumors has it that Edmond will be releasing his debute mandarin album sometime this year.
