Life

By Rithy Vu

The air was eaten by a thick fog
Coldness and darkness is all that remain
Silence broken by the crows cry
As the blood begin to rain

Yet no colors of light appear
The smell of death draws near
Emotions race up and down my spine
For I had lost what used to be mine

I have fallen deep into my life
Drenched with memories of tears
Strong scents of roses stain my mind
As dreams to reality appears

The high mountains eats the dense fog
As the water washes the land
The sun burns darkness to light
For what shall this blessing demand

Life stopped as silence rips the air
Suddenly relaxed hearing an interlude
My eyes are glistened by her radiance
Standing there no longer in solitude
