Front view from across street from Soken Sensei's home, and photo of the well, while Soken Sensei and Son observing my shooting in the shadows.  Recalling story of Sensei being a photographer.  Yes very true, he loved still photography . My super 8's with Soken performing rohai.  The well along side Soken's home, wow,  that was the most refreshing water after a hard work out.

Soken Sensei demonstrates naginata waza.  The Yozadake seito learned this after Soken Senseis return from U.S. tour June 1972.

Hohan Soken Shinshii, sitting and observing class.  This is the window in which he entered dojo.  He utilized this window several times during class.  Only 1 time in a year and 1/4, while going into home.  Soken's right foot was upon window ceil, and left foot into bedroom.  His right foot slipped down towards dojo floor.  Soken's gi pants, didn't even touch the windo ceil.  His ability at 83 was astonishing.  This is what helped Charles Shinshii, to continue the martial arts.
