Q: Are Kurama and Hiei really gay or is that just a fan-made myth? Doesn't Kurama have a girlfriend? (Warning - asking these questions on the ML is liable to get you people screaming and running for cover.)

A: There are plenty of people willing to argue this point both ways - with both sides being able to cite 'evidence' supporting their view from the manga and anime. Togashi-sama has refused to comment, so it's left for everyone to make up their own minds.

The 'girlfriend' people often bring up is Maya, a girl who went to school with Kurama. She definitely liked him, he might have liked her - but he made her forget all about him at the end of her one and only manga appearance (Two Shots, Volume 7), so she seems to be out of the picture.

Q: What are fansubs? Where can I get them? Why aren't there more available?

A: Fansubs are video copies subtitled by fans. They are basically illegal unless you happen to own the originals the copies were made from. You can check the Anime Turnpike for fansub distributors. There are a number of episodes that have not been fansubbed. If you want to know why, ask the people who make fansubs - be aware that it requires a lot of effort to fansub episodes, so be nice!
