Touji, Kensuke, and Hikari. The fiends of Shinji, Asuka and Rei. Not much to say about these three besides one of them being a pilot as well and all of them being the backbone of the "comedy" element of Eva. Well, roll through the profiles and experience three of the bright spots of Evangelion.

Touji is my favorite character in the whole series. Hes rough, hes tough, and hes funny ta' boot! and not to mention his "caring" side that Hikari seems to love so much. I only wish that Touji could have remained a EVA pilot, could you imagine it? Touji and Shinji kickin' some Angel butt side by side, they would've been unstopable! But alas, poor Touji's Eva was taken over by Bardiel, the 13th Angel. I almost flipped out when Unit-01 started ripping Unit-03 (now Bardiel) to shreds! I just couldent believe what was happening. But all was fine, Except the fact you only get to see him like two or three more times untill Ep:26 when Shinji's imagining his life as "normal." Touji had lost an arm and a leg in the battle against EVA Unit-01 and also his status as an EVA pilot. In every anime, movie, book, or whatever, there is always one character that pops into your head first when someone or something brings that anime, movie, book, or whatever, to your thoughts. And for me that character is, yep, you guessed it.

Aww, poor Kensuke. Everyone gets to be an eva pilot but him. Even Touji got to be a pilot and he didn't even wanna be one! As a matter of fact, the only person who really, really wanted to be an EVA pilot was Kensuke. I'm actually glad he didn't become one. If Kensuke would have become an EVA pilot theres no way he could've handled the pressure, he proabably would have gotten killed or something. Kensuke has gotta be the biggest military otaku around (well I did know this one kid in my town, but he joined the army now). Running around in the fields all day, pretending hes in some sort of a war. "What a nut!" you might have said to yourself as you watched him scurry through the grass fields as the Cicada chirp away in the background. Bite your tounge! As I recall most of us male Eva fans (even some female) played with G.I.Joes or some other form of military takeoff when we were younger, at least I did. All in all, Kensuke is great and I love him, military otaku or no.

Hikari, the one and only class rep. Yes, Hikari's got it all. Shes sweet, beautiful, inteligent, sassy, and a great cook. Shes Asukas best friend and would do anything for her, even chew out Shinji. You don't learn very much about Hikari's past in the series, and so your left with much to be desired. She does however fall for Touji somewhere along the line. Wasn't that just depressing as hell when they showed her in the kitchen of her house wondering what Touji would want for lunch the next day, just after they showed him and EVA-03 get ripped to shreds by Eva-01? I swear I almost lost it! After the attack of Almisael (16th Angel), Misato entrusted her pet penguin (Pen-Pen) to the Horaki family and thus they departed from the raviged Tokyo-3 and the final episodes of the series. I really dont know what else to say about Hikari. I know, CLASS REP RULES!!!!
