My Pocket Watch Collection

This is a nice English lever fusee pocket watch. The sterling silver case is 50mm in diameter and hallmarked for 1887. The movement is unmarked except for a serial number, and it probably has only 7 or so jewels. This watch is nevertheless very unusual, however, in that it has an up-down wind indicator!

This is the first watch I have ever owned with a wind indicator. The wind indicator is the little dial near the "XII" on the dial, and as its name implies it shows how wound up the watch is. I have heard of wind indicators on very high grade railroad grade watches, but not on an otherwise ordinary lever fusee like this.
