It was June 30th, Princess Serenity's fifteenth birthday, and she was celebarting it in the park. Princess Serenity's pregnancy was in full bloomand she was due any day. She hadn't seen Prince Endymion sense the masquerade ball so long ago. Princess Serenity was in a great mood. She wore her best smile, although she was sad deep inside, longing for her Mamoru. But today was a happy day, she was surrounded by her family and friends. She had so many gifts, although most were for the baby. "Here, let me help you up," Minako offered, grabbing her arm. "Thank you, Minako-chan!" Princess Serenity replied, helping Minako pull her up. Everyone was so happy for her, but her mother was holding something back. Queen Serenity knew she had to take the baby away when it was it born, or atleast when it was one month old. She decided to let her daughter keep the child until it was a month old, but no longer. Princess Serenity had no idea her mother was going to take her child away. "Thank you, all!" Princess Serenity announced after opening her gifts. "I love all the gifts you got for me and my child, it's going to be so lucky to have all of you in his or her life." That was her que, Queen Serenity had to tall her daughter now. "Dear, can you come over here a minute?" Queen Serenity asked. Princess Serenity made her way towards her mother. "I don't mean to upset you, but your baby will be taken away from you at the age of one month." Queen Serenity saw her daughter's shocked expression. "I can't believe you!" Princess Serenity screamed. The scouts looked up and turned their attention to the queen and princess. "You don't mean to upset me!? I don't see how that's possible, because you upset me very much!!" The princess stormed over to a bench and sat down. After all, she couldn't possibly walk all the way home; not in her condition. The princess felt a small pain in her stomach, but disregarded it for hunger. She was so angry! Her mother had ruined the best day she'd had sense her and Mamoru had been spilt up that second time. "Ow. Don't kick so hard!" Princess Serenity said, looking down at her tummy. She could feel her child moving around inside. "Are you okay, Princess?" Rei asked, noticing her conversation. "Yes, Rei-chan, I'm... Ow!... I'm okay," Princess Serenity told her, looking puzzled. "Queen Serenity," Rei called, "I think we should take Usagi to the hospital." "Hospital!? Rei-chan, you're being rediculous! It's just a little stomach ache. Besides, it's my birthday!" Princess Serenity protested. She hated hospitals. All that blood, and those needles. Ewww! "But we mustn't take any chances, daughter. Let's go," Queen Serenity said, grabbing her daughter by the arm and pulling her towards the carriage. Soon they were on their way to the hospital. ***** "Endymion!" Luna yelled, jumping into his room. Endymion had been resting. He wanted to wish his princess a happy birthday and wanted to see how his child was coming along. His eyes popped open and her stared into the face of a small black cat. "Come on. You need to sneak out and get to the hosptal! Get going!" Luna yelled. "What? Hospital? Why?" Endymion asked. He had a million thoughts running through his head, all of them worrying about Usagi. "The princess is having her baby! Now, go!" Luna replied hurridly. "What!? Usagi's having the baby!? Why didn't anyone tell me? I am the father, after all!" Prince Endymion quickly got up and raced around his room preparing to leave. He looked around, then quietly snuck out his bedroom window. It was easy for him, because he was on the ground floor. He ran as fast as he could, and when he finally got to the hospital and rushed up to the front desk. "What room is Princess Serenity in?" he asked, out of breath. "Room one-zero-five, Sir. Only family, though. What's your name?" the lady replied. But before she had finished, he had already thanked her and started down the hall. When he saw the scouts talking outside of the room he stopped short. He took a deep breath, then calmly walked up to them. "Hello, girls, how's Usagi?" The scouts looked at him in amazement. "Mamoru, you're not supposed to be here. You're going to be in a lot of trouble! And, to answer your question, Usagi's just fine. You're a father," Ami said, a smile creeping across her face. Mamoru looked delighted. "It's a beautiful baby girl. Congradulations!" The door unlatched and Prince Endymion jumped back. Queen Serenity and her husband walked out. When they spotted the prince they got very angry. "I thought I told you to stay away from my daughter! And now I want you to stay away from my granddaughter! Now, get out!" Queen Serenity yelled. Her mistake was that she had left the door to her daughter's room partially open. "But it's my child! I have the right to see my own daughter!" Prince Endymion yelled back. The princess heard every word they were saying. "Mum, let him come in. He does have the right to see his own daughter, and you know it. Plus, it would be the best birthday present ever!" Princess Serenity shouted. She tried not to be too loud, but she woke up the sleeping baby in her arms and it started to cry. "Shhh.. it's okay, mommy's here.." No matter how hard he tried, Mamoru couldn't make Usagi's parents forgive him. He was getting tired of trying to please them, so he just pushed them aside for the moment and walked into the room. "Oh, my odango atama! I'm so happy to see you!" Prince Endymion said, walking over to the bed where Princess Serenity and their daughter lay. Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion kissed each other, but it wasn't a very long one, since the baby was still crying. "May I hold her?" he asked. Princess Serenity saw her mother shake her head from her spot at the door, but the princess handed him the baby anyways. "Here you go, go to your papa," Princess Serenity cooed, still cradling the crying baby in her arms while while handing the small bundle to him. Prince Endymion gentally picked up the baby and kissed her on the forehead. She was so small, so helpless, but definitly took after her mother in the crying department! He brought the baby close to him and rocked her gentally. The baby put her thumb in her mouth, slowly closed her eyes, and fell asleep. "She's beautiful," Prince Endymion whispered. "What's her name?" "She doesn't have one yet, I wanted to wait until you got here. I knew you'd come," Princess Serenity whispered back. "Do you have any ideas?" Prince Endymion thought a moment. 'I want it to be nice, and she sure reminds me of her mother. Except for those brown eyes and that pink hair.' "How about.... Chibi-Usagi? Chibi-Usa for short," Endymion suggested. He liked it, and it seemed that Princess Serenity did too. "Well, my odango atama, I better get going before my mom and dad notice that I'm gone." He handed her back their sleeping child and kissed his princess on the forehead. "Wait, I need to tell you something," Princess Serenity said before he had the chance to leave. He looked back at her and saw that her beautiful eyes had tears in them. "What's the matter, my sweet?" he asked, walking back over to her. Seeing her cry was one of his few weaknessess. "Our baby will be taken away from us in one month," she told him as she began to cry. "But they can't do that!" he protested. He couldn't bare the thought of Chibi-Usa being taken away and given to someone else. Besides, she was part of the royal family, how could they just get rid of her? Princess Serenity wiped tears from her eyes with the back of her hand, leaned over, and whispered in his ear, "We'll just have to run away then. We'll go to um....," She looked at a map of earth on the wall, and she spotted a city, "Tokyo, Japan. On earth." Prince Endymion looked shocked. "We'd have to change our names, and live on our own," he warned her. She shrugged. "Then we'll meet on the road outside your kingdom in one week, at 8:50pm. Bring as much of Chibi-Usa's stuff as you can. Oh, and happy birthday." He smiled at her, turned around, walked out of the door, waved good-bye to her parents and the scouts, and then walked out of the building. ~end part 5~ Oo... didn't expect that, did ya? ^_^ Don't forget, I love to hear your comments, so don't be afriad to write!
