Am I insecure or what? :)

I said I couldn't bear losing you
Losing a part of myself
And a friend so dear
We've been apart too long
Memories seem so vivid in mind
Yet begin to fade
Only in dreams
Am I content
Learning that you are alright
I need more than words of comfort though
The ensurance of an everlasting friendship
How much longer can I hide
From these emotions buried so deep?
Can I count on what we've had
Or the space of time will pull us apart?
Never turn away
The night is cold and lonely
My heart is hardened by tears
Nowhere to turn to
But your open arms
You promise to stay
Cherish and always be there
I reach out to the stars
And they cry with joy
