Seiji was informing Shizuku that in order to fulfill his dreams, he would soon be leaving for Italy to be an apprentice to a violin maker. (it was also after seeing his stength and determination that in turn gave Shizuku the strength to fulfill her dreams of being a writer.)
But before Seiji left for Italy, he went to look for Shizuku. He brought her to his favourite hill to view the sunrise. And he proposed to her. (Smart kid, good timing.)
So what can she do but reply yes? (Technically she can say No, but that would have spoilt the romantic atmosphere and fans would have pummelled the director and script writer to death...)
Seiji was so over-the-hill with joy that he had to hug Shizuku and declare that he loves her. (Awww.. so sweet.. it's good to be a youth.. hehe.. full of passions and emotions...)
