There was a very loud explosion in the lair. Alarms go off, people are in a panic. Lion-O & Hystalin were violently awakened by the explosion. They all run to where the explosion occurs. They find Nocti on the floor crying. It turns out that there was an explosion in the New Cat's Lair. Cheetara & Arakni were caught in the explosion and were killed instantly. New Thundera quickly plummeted into mourning.

Lion-O & Hystalin went to what's left of the control room, and to their horrors were true. The fastest ThunderCat of New Thundera & the youngest child of the Thunderian Royal Family were indeed dead. Shortly after, there was a funeral held for Cheetara & Arakni. Lion-O, Hystalin, their 5 remaining children, Pumyra, Ocello, Cougara, Ailura & her three children, Tygra, Krysa and almost a thousand mourners were present. There was a wave of crying as the bodies were laid to rest.

The next day, there was an echo throughout the lair. Hystalin woke up from the noise. "My, that sounds so familiar.." Hystalin said to herself as the walked through the lair in her robe. She walked up to the council table, and found a book. She opens the book and finds some unusual stories in it. It had stories about a man named Jesus Christ who was worshipped throughout the land. It had stories about his life, his death, and his re-birth, as well as his adversary called Satan, whom in the book says that he was an angel that was cast down from heaven because he wanted to be just like Jesus. Hystalin sat down and read the book. She was so fascinated by the stories in the book, that she didn't notice that a spell was being cast over her by a magical creature from above.

The morning after, Lion-O woke up and found that Hystalin wasn't with him. He walked throughout the lair and notices that the other ThunderCats were staring at something. Lion-O peered through the crowd and found something unbelievably nerve-racking. Hystalin has completely changed. She's doing, talking, singing... basically she gave herself a mental makeover. Lion-O asked her wife why the sudden change. She says that she found some wonderful stuff in a book she found. She shows Lion-O the book and doesn't understand a thing in it. Hystalin tells him that this book has answers for any problem... The Bible. Everyone was completely surprised of the change Hystalin made.

"Oh, I've found a wonderful treasure!" Said Hystalin as she cuddled her book. "This book has the most wonderful stories, and it's all true!" Lion-O was puzzled at what Hystalin said. Nocti & Hypnos came down and saw their mother. She says that she wants her family to go to church. Nocti was totally against it, but Hypnos was confused. "Thank you Mom, but I'll pass." Nocti said politely. Hystalin didn't like the answer. "Sorry, but you're going to church." rasped Hystalin. Hypnos was puzzled. Hystalin & Nocti got into a major fight. Ailura tried to intervene and advised her sister to calm down. Hystalin told Ailura to shut up and let her handle her children. Ailura was very offended by the remark, then Hystalin resumed on forcing her children to go to church. Nocti could do nothing and ended up being forced to church with her family.

While the Thunderian Royal Family were off to a grueling session of church, Panthro, Ben Gali, Cougara were talking about Hystalin's new unusual behavior. Ben Gali couldn't comprehend why Hystalin has turned into the person that she became so suddenly. Cougara commented that it she could be spellbound. Someone could've snuck in the lair and cast a spell on Hystalin that made her into what she is now.

Just then, the New Thundera Royal Family comes in. The only one who is feeling so happy is Hystalin. Everyone else felt like they've been saved from a true torture session. "I cannot see why you had to drag me there!" protested Nocti. Hypnos couldn't understand why she had to be forced to go to church for 4 hours and listen to why she is going to Hell. Nocti says that she's glad that she doesn't have to go through that again. Hystalin then said to her daughter that they were going to church every day, and twice on Sundays. "WHAT??!!?!!" shouted Nocti. Hearing what her mother said made her furious. Hystalin then said that for now on, her family was going to follow God. Nocti wanted nothing to do with it. "Listen to me, and listen good." Said Hystalin forcefully. "You're going to follow God, or you can no longer live with us!" Nocti was hurt and devastated that her own mother has chosen her religion over her family. Lion-O was surprised that she made a decision about her family without telling him about it first.

Nocti went back to her room and rest. She thought it was all an awful dream that she needed to wake up from. she goes into her room, and finds that her room has been altered. Her clothes have been replaced, her music collection was missing, and the Devilman picture that her father gave her was not where it was. "MOM!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY ROOM?!?!?!" Shouted Nocti as she was looking through the Lair for her mother. She found her mother with a big bag in her hands near the incinerator chute. "Hi Nocti. I was just throwing away some stuff." said Hystalin. Nocti was curious what 'stuff' she was throwing away. Hystalin said it was some stuff that she found in Nocti's bedroom. Some of her clothes, her music collection, and the Devilman picture. Nocti ran toward her mother, but she was unable to stop her mother from throwing away the stuff that she held dear to her down the incinerator chute. Nocti was completely furious at her mother actions. "Mom, how could you? Why did you do this to me? Is this your revenge for marrying Ocello last month?" protested Nocti. Hystalin then told her that she had to throw away some stuff that she thought it was hurting her child. "What nonsense! Ma, have you been sniffing too much hemlock?!?!" shouted Nocti.

Wylikit, Wylikat & Brainchild were in the hallway watching the fight from afar. They saw their Aunt Hystalin slap Nocti's face and whipped her repeatedly with her belt. "I'm your mother! I demand that you show me some respect you ungrateful bitch!" shouted Hystalin as she kept belting her daughter. Nocti brushed some blood that was bleeding form her lip and rasped, "Start acting like a mother and I'll cut you some slack!" That remark made Hystalin furious and continued belting Nocti until she stopped moving. The three what were eve's dropping got involved. Brainchild pulled Hystalin away as Wylikat & Wylikat dragged Nocti away to the infirmary on a stretcher.

Pumyra was checking on Nocti. It seems that the punishment that Nocti took from her mother has lapsed her in a coma. Lion-O came as fast as he heard the news. "Who could've done this to my daughter?" Brainchild asked Lion-O to talk to him privately.

Lion-O: "Okay Brainchild. What is it that you want to talk about?"
Brainchild: "Uncle Lion-O, there's something I have to tell you..."
Lion-O: "What is it Brainchild?"
Brainchild: "Lion-O... Aunt Hystalin did this to Nocti."
Lion-O: "WHAT???!!!"
Brainchild: "It's true. Me, Wylikat & Wylikit saw it all."
Lion-O:  "How did it happen?"
Brainchild: "Aunt Hystalin threw away some stuff of Nocti's, without telling anyone. When Nocti found out she got mad that she did this. She thought that was choosing her religion over her own children and called her mother a 'Holy Roller'. In the heat of the argument, Nocti said that she wishes she never rescued her from Rataro and told her to 'drop dead'. That what drove Aunt Hystalin to beat the crap out of Nocti."
Lion-O: "Hystalin did that???"
Brainchild: "I'm afraid so... and I'm afraid of her! She might pull the same thing on me and I'd end up in a coma, just like Nocti."

Lion-O thanked Brainchild for telling him and talked to Hystalin later about the incident. When Lion-O talked to his wife about the ordeal, she didn't bother hiding it. She told him in full detail about it all. Lion-O was completely shocked that what Hystalin said was true. "Why did you do that to her?" Lion-O said. Hystalin responded by saying that Nocti didn't accept Jesus Christ as her personal savior. "You put her in a coma for that?!?!?" Lion-O said surprisingly. Hystalin nodded. "What things of Nocti did you throw away?" asked Lion-O. Hystalin told Lion-O everything, including the Devilman picture. She says that he's a demon that deserves to rot in Hell for all eternity. He reminded his wife of how he saved their lives and helped them defeat Hystalin's nemesis, Victoro. It didn't phase her at all and she continued to cling on that he deserves to burn in Hell because he sold his sold to the Devil.

The day after, the incident about what happened to young Nocti spread through New Thundera like wildfire. It was on the NTNC (New Thundera News Channel) and local tabloids such as The Inquisitor. Hystalin was labeled throughout New Thundera as a conquistador (Conquistador were leaders of the army of Spain as they try to force islanders to convert to Christianity, or to be put to death.)

In a secret room, Krysa, Tygra, Ailura, Wylikit, Wylikat & Brainchild were talking about Hystalin's new, erratic behavior and the belting that Nocti received. "It's clear that Hystalin has become possessed!" Said Ailura. Krysa said that she loved, respected and idolized her older sister, even tried to look like her. Now, she doesn't feel that her sister isn't so special anymore. Wylikit & Wylikat agreed that something should be done to turn Hystalin back to normal. Brainchild said that he's scared that Aunt Hystalin would do the same thing to him, and end up in a coma like Nocti. Ailura said to Tygra, "Tygra, tomorrow night, I need you so fly me to New Angelus. I'm going there to find a cure to Hystalin's madness."

The night after, Tygra & Ailura fired up the Feliner and they sped their way towards New Angelus. There they were greeted with open arms as they went to the Angeleese Library to quickly find a cure. As they looked through several books, Tygra found a book that might be of some interest. He found a book that's similar to the same book that Hystalin read. "This must be it!" shouted Ailura. They strum through the pages and found a passage that described Hystalin's madness to the letter. It turns out that she was possessed by a spirit. It also describes that the only way she can be cured of this madness is that she needs to be tied to a large cross while inhaling the fumes of burning gold, frankincense and myrrh. Then, the victims of those that are possessed and confront the person head-on about what her behavior has caused.

Tygra & Ailura promptly fired up the Feliner and rushed to New Thundera. When they returned, things took a turn for the worst. Hystalin has not only made Nocti slip into a coma, but also Hypnos, Waterturkey & Orintha. Acrapha escaped and left the Cat's Lair before her mother found her. Unfortunately, Waterturkey was in the worst shape of the other four. The other ThunderCats were afraid of Hystalin, for they feared that if they go against Hystalin, she would lose control and lash out. Tygra & Ailura asked Lion-O how did this happen. Lion-O told them that after Nocti got in a coma, she'd lashed out her religious beliefs at everyone else. Also, those who didn't listen to her were severely beaten.

They told everyone that they possibly found a cure to Hystalin's madness. They were more than overjoyed with the news. Right then & there, they conjured a plan to bring Hystalin back to the normal person that she was.

The next day, things were pretty normal. Hystalin woke up to an empty bed. She was looking the others so she can drag them to church. When she got into a room, the door closed. Ailura chanted a paralysis spell on Hystalin. They later tied up Hystalin to a giant metal cross and burned some gold, frankincense & myrrh and let its scent fill Hystalin's nostrils. The ThunderCats begin Hystalin's exorcism.

Lion-O was first to talk to Hystalin. "Hystalin, my love..." Said Lion-O. "Ever since you've turned into a Born-Again Christian, you've tore our family apart. Our children are afraid of you now. Our friends see you as an enemy. What's worse, you've even threatened to throw out your own child just because she had ideas different from you. Is this what you want?"

Meanwhile, Pumyra was checking on Nocti, and found that she has come out of her coma. Hypnos & Orintha still remain in their comas, but Waterturkey never woke up. She quietly died in her bed, all because her mother tried to force religion on her. Pumyra broke into tears. As she turned around, Nocti was gone. The door was swinging from left to right in the air.

Back in the empty room, Ailura was next to talk. "Hystalin, why did you do this to us? Do you want to break up our family over a book? My son is afraid you will last out at him, like you did to Nocti. Are you sure, that all of this is worth it, all because of a book?"

Wylikit, Wylikat & Brainchild was next to speak out. "Why are you doing this? We feel that you're putting your family second fiddle over this new religion, and it's tearing us apart. Please, we beg you... Please come back to us."

Nocti bursts into the room with nothing but rage in her mind. Nocti was ready to go berserk until she saw everyone talking to Hystalin about her religious beliefs. Nocti decides not to attack her physical, but to attack her mother with words.

"Mother..." Said Nocti as she tried to hold back the tears. "Why are you doing this? You're pushing your beliefs on everyone, you've even threw away the many belongings that held dear to me. People whom were your friends are now your enemy to you, Why? I almost died because of you saw me as your enemy, because I had different ideas form yours. Do you love me? I would never, not even if my darkest nightmares, would I ever do this to you, or anyone for that matter! Have you decided that you don't love me anymore?"

Hystalin was screaming in pain as she is forced to hear all the comments that were told to her. A few moments later, Pumyra comes in with some distressing news. "Hystalin, because of you, four of your daughters were in a coma, and one left the lair." Said Pumyra. "Three of them woke up. Your daughter Waterturkey died, all because of you. Is this what your religion is about? Killing because of a different idea?"

Hystalin was untied from her bonds. She kneeled down and cried. "What have I done?" she kept saying to herself. Everyone else was also saddened by the news. None was more in sorrow than Hystalin. "I can't believe I did this to my family! How can I live with myself?" said Hystalin. Lion-O asked Hystalin, "Can I have the book please?" Hystalin complied and give Lion-O the book that drove Hystalin to madness. Lion-O used the Sword of Omens to reduce The Bible to ashes.

Hystalin then got up and said to Nocti, "Nocti, I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me! I never saw what I was doing to you, and I was so blinded that I couldn't see the pain that I have caused. And now, that book has taken away one of your sisters because of me. Can you find it in your heart to forgive your disillusioned mother?" Nocti was reluctant to say yes, and they reconciled again.

The day after, another funeral was made for Waterturkey, a girl whose life has been stolen by the same person that gave her life. Hystalin was in another room as the funeral commences. She kept crying and saying to herself that she wishes she never laid her eyes on the book that the book tore her family apart. Just then, the ghosts of Arakni, Cheetara & Waterturkey appeared in front of Hystalin. "Don't cry Mama." Said Arakni's ghost. "It's not your fault, it was the book that drove you to madness is to fault. At least now, no one will have to suffer the same fate that you've had to face." Said Cheetara's ghost. Waterturkey's ghost came to Hystalin, held her mother's hand and whispered to her mother's ear, "I forgive you, mama." Hystalin was feeling a little bit better. Cheetara said that she'll be looking over Arakni & Waterturkey in the Astral Plane and said good-bye. They all left. Hystalin then leaves the room and joins the funeral. She feels much better now that she has been truly forgiven.
