It has been 9 months since that last arrival of Jaga and Claudis. Hystalin, Lady of the ThunderCats has been expecting her child, the first child of New Thundera. The news was so well received, that all of New Thundera, Third Earth and New Angelus has been waiting impatiently for the new arrival. Lion-O, Ailura, Wylikit & Wilykat were the most impatient of all.

Hystalin: "Lion-O, stop pacing yourself. It is not going to make the birth any faster."
Lion-O: "I can't help it! Soon, I will soon have an heir!"
Ailura: "I will soon have a niece or nephew! Wylikit & Wylikat, you'll soon have a cousin to play with!"

Just then, Cheetara runs to where everyone was in horror and with tears in her eyes.

Cheetara: "Lion-O! Lion-O! Come quick! It's an emergency!"
Lion-O: "What is it Cheetara?"
Cheetara: "It's Lynx-O! He passed away!"
Lion-O: "WHAT???"
Cheetara: "It's true. I came to see Lynx-O a few minutes ago and he was what I thought was asleep in his bed. I held a mirror to his mouth and it didn't fog up! He's dead! HE'S DEAD!!!!"

They all rushed to Lynx-O's room. Panthro and Ben Gali were there checking to see if it was true, and it was. Lynx-O did indeed die in his sleep.

Hystalin: "Panthrow, how did Lynx-O die?"
Panthro: "He has no signs of sickness or any signs of foul play. We believe that when he went to sleep, his body gave up the ghost."
Hystalin: "He was a good man. I'll miss him. I never even got to thank him for blessing our wedding 9 months ago."

The next day, there was a funeral held behind the Cats' Lair. Everyone from New Thundera and even Hystalin's sisters from New Angelus arrived at the somber funeral for a fallen comrade.

Hystalin: "Thank you for coming."
Electra: "Oh Hyst, I'm so sorry."
Ben Gali: "Hello, who are these?"
Hystalin: "Ben Gali, these are my sisters from New Angelus, Electra, Krysa & Sistina."
Panthro: Nice to meet you all.
Krysa: "Thank you."
Sistina: "When we all heard of this, we came as fast as we could."
Electra: "We came because we thought our big sister needed us."
Hystalin: "Girls, I cannot thank you enough."
Cheetara: "Hystalin, didn't you say that you had 5 sisters?"
Hystalin: "That's right."
Cheetara: "Isn't there another that should be coming?"
Krysa: "I think she's talking about Sindara."
Cheetara: "I think that's her name. When is she coming?"
Hystalin: "Cheetara... my sister Sindara was murdered... by Mumm-Ra centuries ago."
Cheetara: "How come?"
Hystalin: "Please, I don't want to talk about it..."

Hystalin held Lion-O close during the funeral. There was a wave of crying that went on as Panthro & Ben Gali to lower the coffin that laid Lynx-O is lowered down into the ground.

The day after the funeral, Hystalin was feel a little uneasy...

Hystalin: "Huh? Oh my..."
Lion-O: "Honey, what's wrong?"
Hystalin: "Lion-O, I feel something..."
Lion-O: "How do you feel?"
Hystalin: "If I had any deep dark family secrets, I'd talk!"
Lion-O: "SHOWTIME!!!"

Lion-O kneeled down and held Hystalin's hand.

Lion-O: "Okay, let me know if you feel anything."
Hystalin: "I think it's coming on... oh... OH... OHH... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Ailura, Wylikat & Wylikit came in.

Ailura: "What's going on?"
Lion-O: "She's in labor!"
Wylikat: "It's happening?"
Wylikit: "Aunt Hystalin is going to have a baby?"
Ailura: "All right kids, we should go to another room. This is not for young eyes to see."
Kits: "Oh... Okay."

Wylikat & Wylikit leaves the room. Just then, Ben Gali, Panthro & Snarf came in.

Snarf: "Snarf, Snarf... what's going on?"
Ben Gali: "We heard screaming coming from this room."
Lion-O: "Hystalin is about to give birth!"
Panthro: "Don't worry... we'll take care of her."
Lion-O: "Hold my hand. If it hurts, squeeze."
Hystalin: "Oh no! I feel it coming again... oh.. OH... OHH... AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
Lion-O: "Damn, you got a really tight grip!"

In another room, Wylikat & Wylikit were talking to Pumyra & Tygra on the communicator.

Pumyra: "So kids, what's up?"
Wylikit: "Good news! Aunt Hystalin is going to have a baby!"
Tygra: "Really? This is great news!"
Wylikat: "It sure is! Aunt Hystalin is going to have the first baby of New Thundera right now!"
Pumyra: "Oh, how I wanted to see this blessed event!"
Tygra: "Me too!"
Wylikat: "I'll ask Lion-O after it's over if you two could come visit. I'm sure they'd appreciate it."
Pumyra: "Cool! You go ask him. If he says yes, we'll be there in two shakes of a cat's tail."
Wylikit: "Sweet!"
Wylikat: "Talk to you later!"
Tygra: "Later!"
Pumyra: "See you!"

Meanwhile, in Lion-O's bedroom...

Lion-O: "...7 ...8 ...9...10!"
Hystalin: "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
Ben Gali: "Ok, rest for a moment."
Hystalin: "This hurts so much..."
Panthro: "You're doing fine."

Meanwhile, in another room, Electra, Krysa & Sistina were chatting in the guest room.

Krysa: "So what do you think?"
Electra: "I think it's wonderful that Hyst is going to have a baby, but she looked rather scared."
Sistina: "Don't worry about it Electra. If she could handle putting Mumm-Ra... I mean Muhin away for his safety, I'm sure that she can handle this."
Krysa: "I wish I could have a baby!"
Electra: "I'm sure you do... but you need a man for that first!"
Sistina: "I've been thinking about getting myself artificially inseminated."
Krysa: "Eww... that is so unnatural!"
Electra: "Why have a petrie dish for a husband?"
Krysa: "What the hell is that?"
Electra: "It's what's used to get an egg fertilized."
Sistina: "Well... It was just a thought."
Krysa: "Sistina, you should have it the old fashioned way, find a man, marry him and take him to bed so you can get his stuff!"
Sistina: "What stuff?"
Krysa: "Low fat cottage cheese."
Electra: "She's talking about his man chowder!"
Sistina: "Oh that.... THAT?!?!?!"
Electra: "Sistina, so young... yet so naive. You have a lot to learn."

Meanwhile, back again in Lion-O's room...

Lion-O: "...7 ...8 ...9 ...10!"
Hystalin: "AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
Ben Gali: "We're almost there!"
Panthro: "One more push and you're through!"
Lion-O: "Honey, I'm so proud of you!"
Ailura: "You're so strong... I wish I had your strength."
Hystalin: "One more push... and that's it!"

Hystalin made one more push. However, while she was giving birth, the power through the new Cat's Lair went dead and all the lights went out mysteriously.

Lion-O: What the hell?
Hystalin: (panting) "What happened?"
Lion-O: "Don't worry, just push."
Ben Gali: "The power must've went out!"
Panthro: "Don't worry, the auxiliary light should come one in the this room."

The auxiliary power came one, but it only made the room dim.

Panthro: "Good, it's back on."
Lion-O: "All right.. now push!"
Hystalin: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The screaming stopped. It was replaced by a baby's crying.

Baby: "WAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
Hystalin: "Ohh!!! Ohh!!!"
Lion-O: "It's a girl!"
Ailura: "Wow! Thanks sis! Thank you so much for giving me a beautiful niece!"

Panthro gave the baby for Hystalin to hold in her arms.

Hystalin: "What a beautiful baby!"
Ailura: "So wonderful..."
Hystalin: "I think I'm going to call you... Nocti."
Lion-O: "Nocti?!?!"
Hystalin: "Yes. It's Angeleese tradition to name the baby after the time the mother gives birth. Since I gave birth to her in the near darkness, I'll name her after the darkness... Nocti is Angeleese for darkness. So, I'll call her Nocti."
Ailura: "It's a beautiful name."
Panthro: "I'm going to put Nocti in the nursery. This is only to see if there's any medical attention that she needs."
Hystalin: "Very well... Oh Lion-O... I'm so happy!"
Lion-O: "I'm so happy too."

Meanwhile, in another part of space, the four Mutants, Slythe, Monkian, Jackalman & Vultureman were all in jail with Mandorra on post. They're all pretty agitated that they're all siting in their own respective prison cell.

Slythe: "Shit! Thisss totally sucksss."
Vultureman: "Cawww... You're telling me. I should be back on Third Earth, not in this dingy prison cell!"
Mandorra: "Can it Beaky!"
Monkian: "Hoo hoo... if only those ThunderCats hadn't thrown us in this dump, we'll be a lot better."
Jackalman: "Hya-ha-ha... I wonder how long we have to rot in this hellhole?"
Mandorra: "Only 99 quasi-decades Jackalman. Better make yourselves comfortable mutants, you'll all be in here till you're all old and gray."

Just then, there was a loud explosion. Then, a dark figure rose out from the floor and opens it's capes.

???: "I am Exodes. I am the darkness incarnate. If there is a pure evil, I am that more pure."
Mandorra: "I don't know about you, but there is a stiff penalty for breaking into jail."
Exodes: "You're laws of justice means nothing to me."
Mandorra: "Then, I'll be taking you in... RIGHT NOW!"

Mandorra used her laser gun to shoot at Exodes, but the shot ricochet away, not even striking Exodes. Mandorra was shocked that her perfect shot didn't strike its target.

Exodes: "You are a pathetic mortal who depends too much on machines. Magic is the only sure answer for all. I will show to you that answer."

Exodes put his left hand in the air and prepared a magic spell.

Exodes: "FLARE!!!!"

Exodes chanted a magic spell that made a raging inferno rain down on Mandorra, leaving her in cinders.

Slythe: "I don't know why you came here, but thank you."
Exodes: "I kave no need you're thanks."
Vultureman: "Caww... Why did you come here?"
Exodes: "The first child of New Thundera is born. I've come to seek aid to exterminate this menace to the evil world."
Jackalman: "You came here to save us, so we could kill a mere child?"
Exodes: "This child has the blood of Thunderian royalty & Angeleese warriorhood. This is a mix that would send all of evil in the known universe to the abyss."
Monkian: "Hoo-hoo... if this is true, this child could be extremely powerful. So why did you come to spring us out?"
Exodes: "I'm here to take the four of you to the Planet R... in there I will teach the four of your the five bases of magic. Refuse, and you'll remain here till you die."
Slythe: "Sounds like we have no choice, yesss?"
Vultureman: "Caww... We'll come with you."
Exodes: "Very good. Now it's time to go to Planet R."
