Snippets

The original Snippets page was lost en route from NBCI, unfortunately, so they'll have to start over from scratch. I promise I will try harder to keep this page updated! It'll be my New Year's Resolution, I guess. ^_^* Hopefully my subconscious will supply some good ones for you.

Because listing the series featured in every one of these would be tedious, I'm just going to name it in parentheses after the name of the character/location/item/whatever that comes from it. Get it?

• Not only was Zoro (One Piece) doing the same study abroad program I am, but Snape (Harry Potter) was a guest teacher. Teaching a class about... turtles? Huh.
• A gigantic cardboard T-Rex was living on a golf course, and I had to help the cast of Buffy fight it off.
• I went on a date with Wakka (Final Fantasy X) to Denny's. It was going well, but then I discovered he liked rap music and was horribly disappointed.
• I was fighting some large Sinspawn (Final Fantasy X) monster thing... by throwing M&Ms at it, one at a time. It was a turn-based battle, though, and I distinctly recall a Masamune-wielding Auron standing beside me, so I was probably okay.
• I was a fighter in some sentai (Power Rangers-esque) group, who was trying to find some artifact in an ancient ruin. I remember throwing a car, and trying to fight a large robot thing. I was equipped only with super strength and yellow Spandex, so I hope I did okay.
• Driving to Denny's one night, I passed a drive-in movie theater. This was weird enough, but glancing at the screen, I realized they were showing Fake! So of course I went. ^_^
• I was in high school again - only the school had a huge tree growing out the roof, and Ilparazzo (Excel Saga) was my teacher.
• I was traveling the country on a really big plastic Big Wheel bike when rain and flooding forced me to seek shelter in what was apparently the Slytherin cafeteria. For some reason the Slytherins all thought I was cool.
• I traveled back in time for some reason, and was in what looked like a medieval English village - except that the townsfolk were busily making pizzas. Then later I tried to buy some potions from Snape (see below), only to discover that my money was entirely Japanese bills with pictures of Trigun characters on them. The five featured Meryl in a dress carrying a basket of flowers.
• I was trying to save myself from a huge Jaws-esque shark that was trying to eat me. Interestingly, I was inside a house. I was climbing on top of a bookshelf while the shark kept leaping up at me, crashing through the floorboards.
• Professor Snape (Harry Potter) was drinking coffee from a styrofoam cup at a laundromat, presumably waiting for his laundry to finish, when a bunch of ninjas burst in. I bet that got interesting! Darn memory.
