It started with me going to an airport. I was sent to pick up a girl who was some sort of nobility and see her escorted safely to another planet. My boyfriend Alex was with me, for some reason. The noble girl turned out to be Asuka, which surprised both of us. We discussed how odd this was while on the plane ride, because it was nothing like the TV series. I had to remind him that I'd only seen six episodes of Eva and thus hadn't actually seen Asuka at all.
We got to our second destination, which was apparetnly a spaceport where we could catch a shuttle. Asuka was supposed to meet a bodyguard there, but we couldn't find him, and while we were waiting around the boarding gate someone began attacking the spaceport! They started trying to evacuate people on the one available shuttle, and agreed to let Asuka on after learning who she was. I tried to protest, yelling that I was with her too and I had been assigned to look out for her - when I noticed that the guy at standing next to me had begun yelling the same thing to another flight attendant.
Turning, I saw that he was Kaji - only he was dressed sort of like a pirate, in a fluffy white shirt and leather pants. Also, he had a cigarette, but it wasn't lit. I remember thinking, "Oh, this is Kaji. I saw him a little in the manga. Wow, he's cute." ^_^*
Well, eventually we all escaped onto the shuttle and made our way to the planet that was our destination. I sat next to Kaji and flirted with him a lot - not really seriously, though; my boyfriend was sitting on the other side of me, after all!
The planet we had been heading to was very strange. The people Asuka had been sent to stay with all wore white robes with lots of blue trim and tall blue hats, and Gendo was their King, apparently. ^_^*We were meeting in some kind of royal court, only it took place on what looked basically like a big dock with an awning over it. Alex, Kaji and I were in the back, right next to the water, getting really bored. Kaji was telling me dirty jokes in a whisper and I kept having to stifle giggles.
Suddenly, a group of people burst in, all wearing red and brandishing weapons, which they fired around somewhat randomly. Somehow during this Alex got knocked unconscious. Apparently these people were trying to kidnap Asuka, but she had vanished, so they threatened to start killing random people until the blue people turned her over. They started walking down the lines of people, looking for someone to kill, and paused at me and Alex.
Well, basically, they were going to kill Alex, but I threw myself over him. The guy standing over us with a sword asked why I'd die for him, and I said, "Because I love him!" This apparently really got to a bunch of the blue people, because they suddenly started fighting back. Alex and I were knocked off the dock and into the water. Luckily Kaji had prescence of mind to jump in after us, since it was really hard for me to try to swim while carrying Alex's unconscious body.
Eventually I pulled myself up on the shore, panting and thanking him for his help. He lit a cigarette (don't ask me how it'd stayed dry) and told me not to mention it, commenting that it was pretty amazing that I loved Alex that much.
"Yeah," I said, "That kinda came out looking like a cheesy romance novel, didn't it?"
Then he commented, almost as an afterthought, "By the way, you do realize he isn't breathing, right?" I looked over at Alex and, sure enough, he wasn't breathing. I had to do mouth-to-mouth, and soon he coughed up a lot of water.
The blue people fought off the red ones, and we escaped on a speedboat, and that's really all I remember, except for a moment later on when we were walking through some weird-looking vacant lot and I asked Alex, who knows far more about Evangelion than I do, "Does Kaji die?" About three seconds later somebody attacked us and Kaji got shot with a laser weapon. ^_^*
For some weird reason, I think the person was Utena.
