"D..doll?" Sakura asked.
"Yes." he pointed at the window and stopped tapping.
"Ack!" she opened the window, grabbed Cerberus, and threw it into her closet. "I..um.."
"Is the doll alright?" he glanced at the closet with slight concern.
"Yes!" she yawned suddenly and he shrugged, temporarily forgetting about the creature.
"Would you like me to stay any longer?" he placed his hand on her forehead and gasped. "Sakura-chan, you have a fever..."
"A fever?" she widened her already wide enough eyes. /Oh no..if I have a fever, I can't even go to school and apologize to Li-kun..\
"I think it will be gone by tomorrow, but I'm not sure." he informed. "I'll be right back, I'll see if your father has any medicine."
"T..thank..you."
He hurried out of the door.
Cerberus popped out of the closet. "Here." it handed Sakura the rod.
"No.." Sakura sighed. "L..et Li-kun use it tonight..if he can get Touya-onii-chan to get away from him..he needs to get the card..before it does anything.."
"What's wrong with you!?" Cerberus glared at her. "Then /he's\ going to be the one who gets the card!"
"So?" she shook her head, closing her eyes. "I don't care..I won't be able to get out of bed for a couple days..I have a fever..and I don't want that card to do anything dangerous..anyways, Li-kun knows more about the cards than I do../please\ Kero-chan. Just this once.."
"F...fine." the creature sighed, flying out of the window. "Leave it open this ti-nevermind, that won't help your fever. I'll stay the night at Tomoyo-chan's house. She'll come by tomorrow, anyways. Take care, Sakura." it added, "And I'm never doing this again."
"I know..thanks."
The creature was out of her sight by that time, although it had just gone to the side of the window to see if it could catch any part of the conversation which was about to go on.
Yukito re-entered and helped her drink her medicine. "Oh!" he walked over to the window, shutting it gently.
"Y..ukito-san.."
"Yes?" he smiled at her.
"Why did I..get..a..fever? I was..fine..until..Touya-onii-chan came.." she turned over and opened her eyes so she could see his expression.
"I think it's because you were worrying too much about what would/will happen...you got yourself sick of worrying. Touya won't be able to yell at you when you're like this..." he tucked her in. "Which is a good thing. I just wish that he wouldn't yell at you in the first place..."
"I..deserve it.." she said slowly.
"Mm?"
"I..do.."
"I don't think so." he smiled again. /Touya has some sort of 'sister complex' after all.\ "You should get some sleep. It's late, after all."
"W..ill..you stay..?"
"As long as you want me here."
Her eyes closed once again and she fell into deep sleep.
*****************************
"Okay?! You /understand\ me, brat?!" Touya yelled at Syaoran, who was trying to do his best to avoid the older male and not doing a very good job of it.
"Yeah, yeah." Syaoran replied, rolling his eyes. "Leave me alone, now, will you?"
"As long as you promise /never,\ I repeat, /never\ to go near her, again! You hear me?!"
"I'm not deaf, you know." /Though I wish I was right now...\ he thought gloomily. /And although I'm not now, I'll probably be after he finishes...(sigh)\
"Did you understand?!"
"YEAH!"
"OKAY, then." he turned and began walking to his house.
"Tomoyo!" Cerberus flew over to the girl after he found that the coast was clear.
"Oh, Kero-chan!" the girl popped her head out of the bushes she had hidden in throughout the time the boys had been having their glaring contest.
"I have to stay at your house tonight, Sakura's window's closed and that one guy, Yukito, I think, is in her room."
"Oh, okay." she smiled. "That's fine by me."
"Yukito-san's in /her\ room?!" Syaoran scowled.
"Yep. You have to give Sakura back her rod." Cerberus stated, out of the blue.
"What rod?"
"Here." the creature handed him the rod. "Sakura wanted you guys to get the card tonight, after Touya left you alone."
"Ah, she can get it herself." he turned away. "After all, why does she think that I'm going to help her, anyways?"
"/You'll\ get the card, you idiot!" it scowled. "Unless you /really\ don't want it. Then I guess we'll all have to wait until Sakura gets well to get the card, now, won't we?!"
"Sakura-chan's sick?" Tomoyo asked, concerned.
"Yep." it tilted its head. "Right before I left, I thought I heard that one Yuki-what's his name- saying that she got a fever from worrying too much."
"Worrying too much?" Syaoran and Tomoyo exchanged confused glances. "About what?"
"About you guys!" it was annoyed.
"A...about /us?\" Syaoran was doubtful. "Not /us.\ About /you guys.\ You forgot to exclude me."
"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, DO YOU!?" Cerberus scowled. "/You're\ the main reason of everything! Why do you think that she's giving you the rod, and not to mention the card, in the first place?!"
/I'm the main reason...?\ Syaoran widened his eyes.
"Oh, poor Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo exclaimed. "Now she can't see the video tape that I took of her!"
Syaoran sweatdropped. "Is that all you care for? Your video tape?"
"No, no, no! The tapes would be no good if it wasn't for Sakura-chan, because she is the star and heroin of it!"
He pointed at the bushes. "Um...I think we left it in there,
though, if you forgot."
"OH NO!!" she rushed into the shrubs to find it.
Cerberus scowled. "Well, don't just stand there, get the card!"
*****************************
"Sakura-chan!? Are you okay, Sakura-chan?!"
Sakura blinked and looked up. "Tomoyo-chan. Hi.."
"Oh!" the girl beamed. "You're awake!"
Sakura then noticed what the other girl had been doing. She sweatdropped as she saw her friend with the video recorder in her hands. The recorder's light was suspiciously /on\...
"Tomoyo-chan! Why do you have to record me when I'm sick!?" she complained. /It's bad enough when I'm /not\ sick..\
"Because it is my hobby to record interesting things!"
"But me being sick isn't interesting." she pointed out.
"Oh, here." Tomoyo changed the subject by taking Cerberus out of her knapsack. "He's been asleep for about an hour now."
"What time is it?"
"Five o' clock."
"Oh, yeah! Did Li-kun get the card?" Sakura asked catiously.
Tomoyo shook her head. "He said that he didn't want to try for it when you weren't there."
"Huh?" she sighed. "But I can't go out for a while.." /Touya-onii-chan will get mad..\
There was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Sakura said as loud as she could manage. She felt sicker than ever.
"Um..." Syaoran entered the room, slightly flushed. "I...here." he handed the girl a box.
Sakura tilted her head. "Can I..um..open it?"
He nodded.
She opened it with slight hesitation. Tomoyo gasped as she saw what it was. "Ooh! How pretty~!" she double-checked to see if her video recorder was on. "And I got it all on tape!" she was overjoyed.
Sakura stared into the box, without saying a word. "Li-kun..?"
Syaoran took a step back. "Did...I do something wrong?"
"Oh, Li-kun!" she leapt out of the bed and wrapped her arms around him gratefully. She automatically forgot about her cold for the few seconds. "Thank you! I wanted a new backpack for such a long time!"
Cerberus sweatdropped, waking up and finding that Syaoran had given Sakura some sort of present. The creature had a nice reason to sweatdrop, a backpack was not a kind of gift someone got for being sick.
Syaoran took another step back, his face now crimson. "I...uh...have to return...this..." he handed her the rod.
She took it back gratefully and then buried her face in his chest. "Thank you~! But why...?"
"Uh...I felt bad...because..." his eyes widened and he pushed her away. "The card!"
"You felt bad because of the card?" Sakura blinked at Tomoyo, who blinked back from behind the camera.
"No, /stupid!\ The Clow card is nearby!"
"It..is?"
Cerberus flew up, "I feel it too!" it announced importantly.
"I don't.." Sakura said in a quiet voice. "Maybe it's because I'm sick.."
"No!" Cerberus gaped. "It's not because you're sick...it's because the Clow card is inside of you!!"
"HOOOOOEEEEEEEHH~?!!!!" she blinked.
